Stuck at 3-Back

Hello,

I am relatively new to n-back, I have been doing it for a week now. I can do 2-back easily, averaging 90% on the auditory and visual scores; when I get increased to 3-back I can't get any of them.

Don't worry, you'll get a hang of it. Try doing ~20 rounds per day. Try increasing the interference chance(if there's an option for it.) and turn on variable n back(if there's an option). I'm using the brain workshop app, but it's fairly old, and seems abandoned..

you'll get there. I remember struggling at 3-back as well, now I'm struggling 7-8 n back.

How long did it take you to go from 3 to 7-8, and how long a day for how many days a week? 3 is feeling really hard, one week in.

Maybe, you are overthinking the situation. Your 2-back scores also indicates that you have a focus problem. The ability to focus on a single task can define IQ to a great extent. When you focus deeply on something, you conjure a larger percentage of your intellectual energy, and thus act more intelligently. So, work on your focus---if I am correct about your situation.
