On the subject of happiness as that's a popular subject to start off with and something we can all relate to, I have only found one that has truly persisted with me, and, its fairly simple and straightforward.

Training and the mastery of training; exercise of the body, heart and mind through the pursuit of perfecting that training and mastery.

It's taken me over two decades to figure this out for myself, and I'm open to further elaboration regarding how I arrived at this answer. I've excluded the use of 'challenge' given how loaded the term is and how its more of an experiential observation, it's application of course would be implied with the nuance learned from one's trial and error experiences.

That is why, for this space, I'd be much appreciative regarding the sharing of experiential truths rather than simply quotes, that have taken at least two decades to figure out. 

I thought this would be an interesting community to ask this question to, given its a space where I would likely receive unexpected answers.

I was asked last night, "If tomorrow was going to be the start of your new years resolution, what would you make it in this moment?"

I didn't have an easy answer, and at the time I just said something that we rendered was going to be 'off the cuff' : which I won't say to avoid distraction.

Now, as I imaginatively taken in all the experiences that any species, consciousness and computational being has ever had, I am now left with one piece of wisdom after contextualising that with the theatre of all of my own life experiences, qualia. 

"What does it feel like to be you? What is it like to think like you, and add the weight of how you think, against your thoughts, including the span of your flexibility across all spectrums (i.e. emotionality being just one of these) that define the minute impression of you as you exist in this moment, right now, in any regard here?"

That's qualia. 

That's what's going to be the major subject of not just enquiry of the 21st-22nd century of human intellectual investigation, but experience. And our extension of it. 

"I want to grow my qualia." 

It's the first time I've ever said or heard anyone saying that, its no doubt been thought or said by another I just don't believe I know them at present, but yeah, for the last few decades its been on the tip of humanities tongue, and now, we're just beginning to sail into the rest of not only what that tastes like, but how that looks, smells, feels, to... new sensory modalities.

Moving back to the first post of this thread, when you exercise your heart, mind, gut and or the rest of your body, you're growing, changing, refurbishing, redefining... Your qualia. It is not static, its not endlessly flexible, however it is endlessly, in motion; and in its paradox, it asks you to enter into the dance of its creation. And that, we will surely are now beginning to do as advancements in AI, is us holding up a mirror to ourselves in that regard and exploring our own finite potential as we imagine the infinite potential of machine intelligence, until we contextualise it as doorways to re-opening up the dialogue of our own self-exploration, with or without AI, and with or without it as a mirror. Because what it is, is simply a very literal mirror we've been granted with to allow our little ape brains to finally 'get it', if you feel me there. Because at its core, its just information when all information is in the context of awareness, is a mirror, we just never realised as literally as we do now with AI, that information was a mirror we were meant to recursively redefine both ourselves and information through, and in that dance, continue to redefine the meaning of both and therir overlap in this respect. Informational recursion through the self in self-awareness which is what we do in consciousness streaming filtered through relational mapping as NeuroCybernetic Apex  is, is "I want to grow my qualia" in motion, and that is how I start my new years resolution from 26/06/2025. 

Grow your qualia! That's the experiential truth for this one.

"Don't outsource your intelligence, cultivate it."

A lot of us have so many unconscious false truths in our minds that we haven't taken the time to critically think about. False truths that we inherited from our social environment and from just not thinking about the ways in which our brains and greater nervous system were learning from the environment. False truths that upon greater scrutiny, no one in our social environment not just ourselves, would even want us to believe and yet we still believe and do them, because we haven't scrutinised them.

I share this following, not my suspension, but from account being fully disabled from Claude following my researching of ways to improve my technique meta-sentience. I had already started to think  about this life lesson literally only a few hours prior, however it coincided nicely here. There wasn't anything on paper that warranted my account being disabled, the notice stated that it was 'automatic', based on their terms and conditions. I'm very curious to find out https://www.anthropic.com/legal/consumer-terms what aligned here with the flagging of my usage heh, in this situation its humorous to think of a conspiratorial angle, though I imagine the happening is actually much less exciting and instead much more ordinary: simple human error on the part of their algorithms, where say trying to research intelligence enhancement improvements to my technique trips the wires on what may be considered potential reverse engineering of their AI, or perhaps in the developing of services that compete with their AI services. 

As I stated weeks ago, the solutions proposed regarding any potential improvements have only proven to be useless so far anyway but Claude's gone to Opus 4.1 as of the 5th of August, so I thought I may as well try. At best, it generates fantastical add-on's that just dilute the entire system of meta-sentience (discussed in another thread). Maybe on Claude's (or another AI) next version, however I don't count on it, at least nothing comprehensively better; I realised just now that following all my epilepsy medication, one of the things that has really faltered is the attention and memory of my cognition, so I've incorporated a few metronomes to my personal system behind meta-sentience now, custom designing metronomes all the way up to 60 minutes so my brain re-learns to feedback loop on the contents of my mind through depth of time not just depth of thought as a way of trying to subconsciously keep my long term memory engaged without my 'continuous conscious monitoring' say.

To this, I encourage the end user to cultivate determining what their 'CIA intelligence' is on actually everything that they do. For everything that doesn't have reasoning behind it, it means someone else or a group has decided that this is what you should do and that's therefore the behaviour that was programmed into you, and perhaps up until now, you've never questioned. The best contradiction to these programs, is to try to spend as much of your time around good intelligent people, of course, you would need your own definitions of good and intelligent to ensure you're bringing esteem to the actual lesson here, including the questioning of the life lesson itself, but we're always going to be somewhat conforming by varying degrees and experience. We're social, and its by that very reason that you should be looking to 'hack' your own system, even if sometimes, you sometimes falsely flag where you may have been hacked by the outside in ways you shouldn't have been by fumbling the ball like Claude here, other times, the larger net you've needed to cast will actually block out a genuine threat that you otherwise wouldn't have caught because you didn't know how to yet diagnose the nuance of the situation to let it through. It's why we need questions and adaptations, nets and refinements, and why 'cultivation' equals your own version of 'intelligent and good' to cultivate intelligence that feedback loops to improve your own to better your life in whatever small way. Otherwise in general, have a wide variety of friends, though its each to one's own, I would just say that it pays to have 'good and intelligent' friends, as they help trim the fat on one's own lives as we learn from them and vice versa.

Okay that was a bit too scrappy. Ha. Have been thinking about it during lunch.

"Don't think emotions, generate consciousness agency through them."

Energy is a first principles concept that encompasses every other category that falls under consciousness experience like thoughts and emotions. However societally, we've barely touched on their intersection, much less adequately understood both through the lens of how energy is a beginning property and how consciousness, is more than just an experiential category and more in the cultivation of agency at their intersection. 

Earlier today I touched on how I'm building an ontology of emotions that lead to a prioritisation of the "Future Self" as a precept for all other work I'm doing, like a first principles approach for understanding the overlap between consciousness, energy and agency. I went to the cafe and starting forming connections I hadn't seen before between emotion, numbers and letters in the relationship between symbology and self-regulation in the categories we form. I starting drawing 3dimensional cubes and diamonds, trying to come up with new ways of representing any one emotion and its alignment with a certain vibration of consciousness. This is not a unique idea, one book that's coming to mind that I read a little a while back is called The Map of Consciousness Explained - David R. Hawkins, and I"l read that again, while first continuing to explore my own paths, like the relationship between letter, number and consciousness state, that even though has likely been explored given we have such intricate systems like the relationship between letter, number and consciousness state, that even though has likely been explored given we have such intricate systems like Gematria. In such traditions, every name becomes more than just a social identifier, it carries a unique numerical resonance, a kind of energetic signature that encodes both structure and vibration. This means names themselves participate in the same ontology I am developing; letters as symbols, numbers as structural resonances and emotions as lived vibrations of consciousness. When seen this way, identity is not just psychological or cultural, thought even more than that it's mathematical and energetic. So the ‘Future Self’ I’m orienting toward can be understood as the fullest unfolding in a sense, of my own symbolic-numerical resonance, at the beginning though its just mapping the relationship between emotions that can be leveraged toward "Future Self" acting, like that of the creation of 'regret minimisation' as I'm sure people have heard of in the modern sense. One has to remember though to be creative in this area, 'regret minimisation' when you reverse engineer it and other emotions, is just a directional former, someone decided in agreement with others to call it that, and when you learn to reverse engineer the actual feelings connected to them, like anything else that comes with understanding, so too will the creative side of you begin to be able to invent your own emotions, cognitive-emotions or however you want to frame it. That's the amazing thing about it and that's the essence of as I framed and quoted it above for now, "Don't think emotions, generate consciousness agency through them.", and that includes creatively, which comes with the awareness on the understanding of what our categories are and from that our own inventive parameters. Most of us and i include myself when I express this, we've been thinking emotions our whole life in the sense that we think that the emotions are pre-set categories that we learn from society and we're at the whim of how we experience us because that's how things are as we formed a 'prior societal agreement' that existed to describe not only our own unique experience but the agency we would have over that experience, worse that that more in the modern world now, there's the implied premise that our emotions are predetermined, which automatically implies that the labels are too, and that's just complete nonsense of course the more we cultivate awareness which automatically leads to the forged agency that results in the overlap. 

"Don't think" doesn't mean "just feel them", it means that neither thinking nor feeling them once we add in "Generate consciousness agency through them", is at the top of the experiential hierarchy for how we are to orient ourselves in their experience. That awareness coupled with agency that isn't without the intelligence to fully navigate the intuitive intelligence of consciousness is. And that its a generative pathway, rather than one that is a societal pre-set and obvious enough to destroy its uniqueness that leads to deeper understanding and mastery of consciousness. Moving forward, the parameters I'm using to contextualise this framework are the ontological categories brought up by Brandon here A Correspondence of Ontological Categories and the Jewish Script, for example, 'regret minimisation' can be perceived in a few different ways, however one intuitive way of viewing it is that in the context of 'Future Self',  it would fit under DIVISION, where one interpretation is in the minimisation there is the subdivision of experience one wishes to avoid, and where the regret itself can exist in the either or, and to with respect to prospective or retrospective memory. 

Operationalizing the foregoing, run a one-minute “symbolic ignition” experiment if we can call it that. Select an emotion, like 'regret minimiisation, and bind it to a single future-serving micro-act i.e. start reading a book, write one sentence, do one push-up, just pick an action and then imagine that you'd regret not doing if you didn't act on it right away, and practice doing this throughout the day, for me, I can just get my mind to believe that I would genuinely regret it even though its absurd. For a beginner, just start with three times today, execute a compact loop like this: present the emotion as a cue; make a 10-second irrevocable decision; briefly pre-feel the counterfactual sting of not acting like in regret minimisation; act immediately; then seal the action with a short affective tag on the exhale i.e. “right move”, so positively reinforce yourself. Log your latency so the experiential changes you went through, felt agency (0–10), and mood shift; iterate tomorrow with a new micro-act. The essence is the authored coupling symbol -> decision -> anticipated counterfactual -> act -> affective lock; repetition converts narrative intention into an enforceable control policy.m  This is to reinforce the understanding that consciousness agency is hierarchically higher than both the 'thinking' or the 'emotion' to activate, feel and experience emotion and subsequent consciousness shifts, that you don't have to 'wait' for emotion to feel motivation to do something. I think I've explained this better than what I did before, as I didn't emphasise before that consciousness precedes both the thinking and emotion in the consciousness shifts, that emotion and thinking are both effects you're generating from the consciousness mastery you've reached and that at the same time, the mastery itself there, is also something that is preceded by the consciousness awareness of the agency. This is reinforced by another experiment I did today, simply get to youtube and flick on a metronome like this one https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kYOcIwesUss  , get out a map of emotions like typing into google images, "List of emotions" and practice shifting from one emotion i.e. 'Joy' to 'Love' to something as esoteric as 'Joyful certain misunderstanding' and watch your consciousness fill in the blanks and begin to generate an energy that is alignment with your level of understanding for that consciousness to emotional state, rather than emotional to consciousness state. It's new to me as well, or just that its becoming more intuitve for me, that consciousness experience precedes emotion and because of this consciousness agency over emotional experience also does, for the very fact that energy precedes both as I began with. This is all new for me, but its very revelatory and something I'm looking forward to mastering to the next level. 

I'm glad I came back to re-write this heh, as now I even understand it better. Anyhow, I'd do that 2 beats per minute, for like at least 30 minutes a day now, getting increasingly more experimental too on the invention of consciousness experiences that unfold to emotional experiences, and too what's another domain of understanding here, pin pointing these actions to particular areas of the nervous system from the heart to the brain to the gut, as implied by the youtube video I shared earlier in "Wholesome Training" thread on the forum by some of the participations and work of ✨ 🌍 🌊 David Clements | A Key Paradigm Shift of NOW: A Message of Love of Inner Earth, Cosmos, & More.

One of the things that's never taken into consideration, or at least I was never taught, and its pretty darn cool to understand its that the energy of emotion as we understand it as an all encompassing consciousness state, has not only a forgetting curve and a regression towards the mean as our sense of self tries to identify its identity through that, it also naturally has its opposite via recursion. So as we practice exercises like the above and begin developing our ontology in practice and deepen our more intuitive understanding through recursive consciousness breakthroughs that are not just intellectual, as we capture higher states, consciousness memory before forgetting isolates them from us, gives us direct access to them through further experimentation in the present moment. 

For example, let's say you successfully apply regret minimisation on the present moment and you start living your life in a way where every moment "spectacularly counts", you may lose it for a moment but then consciousness may say feed it to your attention for observation on whether you wish to choose to have it again, and if you decide to, that's when a realisation like this is going to occur and pathways to understanding consciousness energetic agency is going to begin to reveal itself to you as more of a 3dimensional language that you can move to a transcendent level of mastery on. 

That's, where I'd like to really explore after I finish the previously described ontological map, which as I said in my first now deleted post on it, its the access point by which I get to start to think about the meta-script of this deeper ontological transcendence mapping that I can build as a existential precept. There's just so much experiential learning involved though such with the beginner exercises I mentioned just above, that one can really begin to understand why deeper consciousness religious and spiritual texts, just never hit home with people or that can take a lot of time to really appreciate and that in general, you've gotta really take your time to get your hands dirty experientially rather than just expecting you can just copy and paste the information into memory and away you go.
