Has anybody realized any impact of dual n back training on his reading
skill regarding comprehension, speed and maybe other factors?

I have been n-backing for the past 6 months (although there was a 2-3
month hiatus in between). I must admit that there has been a slight,
yet noticeable improvement in my reading skills, comprehension in
particular. I am able to process a wide variety of reading material
more easily compared to my pre-nbacking days. As for reading speed (a
skill that I have always valued greatly), I try to push myself to take
in more words per unit time while simultaneously trying to process and
comprehend the content, I find it less challenging now.

Unfortunately for me, this is the only cognitive area where n-backing
has yielded even a semblance of improvement. I got nothing in the
areas like reasoning, pattern recognition and mental arithmetic.

Thanks for answering my question. I am interested where you started
and what's your acutal score on dual-n-back. Thanks again.

The DNB version I use adjusts the N-level based on my performance in
the latest round. I have reached n=8 about 2-2.5 months after I
started and couldn't get past it. For some reason I just stopped
nbacking thereafter and got back to it like a couple of weeks ago.
