I'm consistently at dual 7-back on BrainScale.net, occasionally hitting dual 8-back, both on dynamic settings. My experience has been that the duration of training makes a huge difference on how I peak (I got up to 12 or 13 on a site I forget now). Total number of trials for 8-back is 84 for a total time of 277 seconds.

I always find scores like that pretty remarkable. How long have you been training? What n-back did you start on? Where levels were your plateaus and how long did the plateaus last? Also, isn't 3 seconds the default trial? I see you're doing 3.3 and I've seen other programs go as low as 2. Is there a difference there for you?

Thanks! I've been doing dual n-back on and off since maybe 2010 or 2011? Depends on the software what the plateau is. and I just stick with the dynamic settings because its just what I'm used to now but the longer the trial time, the more difficult it is because memory decays

If you have limited time. What would you choose to practice? Meditation or Dual N Back? And why?
