Hello everyone, my name is Morad, 31. I discovered DnB a few months ago and it really helped me a lot. I have bipolar so my cognitive function declined a lot these past few years. When I first played I struggled with n2 but after about two months I got to be quite good at n4 and have even reach n5. I have already noticed a massive benefit in my professional life since training and I really want to take this further. Reading everyones posts is really educational and inspiring to me and I thought I could start a thread for myself to share my progress.

For other aspects in my life, I do crossfit and yoga and have suprisingly high testosterone, both free and total. Other blood tests are also showing good results. I I have been vegan for 5 years already and now started being keto to help treat my bipolar. Sleep is slowly improving, I wake up usually once or twice at night. I believe that my bipolar episodes are the result of brain inflammation and in combination with being in ketosis, I have found recovery methods like yin yoga and certain types of breathing to help.

I currently practice DnB and TnB, with there not being that much of a difference between them. I am also curious about Syllogimous, and I am going to try it out. Looking forward to sharing my progress with you!

My executive control increased massively. Training has helped me develop agency in that I am much more aware of my choices in life and have the "will" to execute them. I haven't gotten to that genius level intellect yet, but I think this ability took me from non-functional to above average performance. Also, I can think about things for slightly longer, and I have more of a filter in life in my behaviours, which I think comes back to increased executive function skills. There has also been a small degree of choosing better solutions as well for myself. Like I make choices that are more likely to lead better outcomes and I don't have imposter syndrome or guilt/shame, because I am just happy to create a life that is good for me.

I can confirm these benefits even after 4 week of training. 1 day train/1 day off cycles.

Checking in for the end of this week. I started playing syllogimous and really enjoying.  I don't play it timed, because I really like thinking things through fully and don't want to be stressed. I realized that my work performance has gone down this week and I believe it is because I have been slacking with DnB. I started playing again and am really challenged by 4n. I am not stressed about going up the levels quickly, rather I want to master 4n, and build the strength of my mind. Maybe people in this group are trained and have forgotten this but DnB really is cognitively challenging in many levels, the cognitive gains from a hard workout really go a long way. The point is, that it is a non-negotiable for me right now.

I also practice HRV Biofeedback reasonance breathing and I think it is pretty amazing and will be another gamechanger. I am also back meditating.

One last thing, despite spending more than 2+ hours on all these things per day, my productivity actually increases compared to when I don't do any of these practices.

im pretty sure the biofeedback is nonsense. it might even be dangerous depending on how its done. and vegan keto is TERRIBLE for you oh man oh man. Eat some damn meat. take some damn creatine. Meditating is great for increasing neuroplasticity and focus, which enhances the effects of all ur cognitive training.

Biofeedback is nonsense?
I am wondering how you arrived at this Latkar?
I have been working with bio- and Neurofeedback for many years.
Many got better from NF after years on medication and trying everything including eating meat.
I think you need to be careful with such sweeping statements. They don’t serve your point very well .
Very kindly.
Rustam

Arnav, if you are going to post here then you have to do so respectfully and kindly. I don't know you and I don't care for your temper tantrums. More importantly, you don't know me at all.

1. I don't care for your opinion on biofeedback. You don't even know what I am even getting feedback on.

2.  I have been vegan for over 5 years. I recently tested all my biomarkers and they are all great. My total testosterone level measured two months ago was 940ng/dl, and free testosterone was 652pmol/L. I am very physically fit and am able to build muscle mass without an issue. I don't preach for people to be vegan, people can do what they want, this is just how I live. If that triggers you then you have bigger things to worry about yourself than cognitive enhancement.

3. Keto is a medical therapy for my bipolar. It's working wonders for me so far. I think it is a bit sociopathic to read about someone opening up about their serious mental illness and then mock their treatment. Like, what do you get from this? I thought this whole community was to help each other grow cognitively.

If this is the energy you bring, then I don't want you commenting in this space.

Hey Rustam,

That's really interesting. What type of work have you been doing with bio and neurofeedback and at what capacity?

I have been doing HRV-reasonance breathing and so far the results are nothing short of amazing. I never fully understood the concept of training/strengthening the barroreflex, that allows the body to process stress better until now and it is really cool to see the effects of it already. I will share more over the weekend.

Hey Morad,

No hate, and good for you, but you really gotta lay off a vegan diet. You might be feeling great now, and that's not becaue of the vegan diet itself, but rather every processed garbage you probably have cut out, but you're really walking into a slow death friend.

Human we're not deigned to rely on plant food, and while you might squeezing out just about enough nutrition to get you by, you're exhausted and overworking your organs for that result, and specifically your digestive organs. Add to the surprisingly high amount of toxins you get from plants even they are organic.

You really putta step up the game and switch to animal based diet, you'll get more nutrition and less toxins by amount compared to a vegan diet, and It won't stress your organs.

As a little experiment, do 1-2 weeks water using distilled water and some sea salt, and see how sick you will get. The stronger the symptoms you get from this fast (headaches, cold, inflammation..) the higher amount of toxins are residing in your cells.

I have heard about neurofeedback being nonsense from the former technicians themselves. I guess I would be curious what GWERN has to say about it because he is very scientifically educated.

I dont know how you read and concluded all of those things from just a few words. but anyways, I just said, if you are keto and vegan, it doesn't really make sense. Keto isn't just low carb, its about eating lots of fat from butter and meat, its about animal products. I don't know if you ever tried that. But anyways, the science shows that being vegan isn't really like, the correct way to do things as well. You don't get everything from being vegan. and if you had slaves, you'd want to just give them grains like how they did to the ancient roman gladiators. THey didn't give those guys meat. Maybe you are just a lucky exception

I dont know if he will actually try out what you are saying because he might be invested in veganism for ethical reasons, so in that case he would rather take a few years off his life and let a few animals live or something.
