"Aim for 20 sessions per day (about 25 minutes), 4 or 5 times per week. The "Sessions Today" indicator in the top right corner of Brain Workshop represents a convenient way to keep track of your 20-session goal."

I'm at dual 6-back now, which on default settings, requires almost 3 minutes per session. If I train for the recommended number of sessions per day, I'd spend an hour on training. Don't get me wrong, I do see benefits from dual n-back, but an hour per day, five times per week is a bit much.

I tried reducing the number of trials per session to maintain constant training times across n-backs, but I hit an absurdly high n-back as a result (9-back) and get through only a few complete cycles, which feels strange.

How do people train after reaching higher n-backs? Do you continue at the 20 session per day clip? Or set an upper time limit on how much you're willing to train (say 20-30 minutes)? Reduce the number of trials per session?

When I reached 10-back I stopped for long time, I realized dnb was useless in my life. But after I stopped training I also stopped lucid dreaming, so the two things are interconnected. I started again some days ago to see what's the effective dose of training to induce lucid dreams again. 10-15 sessions should do the job, higher N needs less training to be effective (just the same as weight training).

Thanks for the response. I hit dual-7 back now on default settings and that comes out to 207 seconds per session. 10 sessions of that is 35 minutes. Still a bit too time consuming for me so I'll be targeting an upper bound on training time (20-25 min) instead of minimum number of sessions.
