non-sound play

to Dual N-Back, Brain Training & Intelligence

So, to my delight someone came out with an Android version of n-back.

But the version available uses only place and shape, not sound.
Anyone have any thoughts on the usefulness of this?

I was surprised at how Bad I am when changing stimuli. I am 5 or 6 in
standard, but with shapes instead of sound I am lucky to do well at 3
