Why hasn't DNB gotten much publicity?

I mean, with the purported benefits of it's training, one would
imagine this to be something of a scientific/psychological
breakthrough.

I wonder the same thing. My best guess is that the masses are content
with mediocrity.

A better question is why the scientific community hasn't done more research in this arena.  The Jaeggi study has some methodical weaknesses and must be redesigned and replicated by others before its findings can be seen as bullet-proof. The public would be much easier to convince if there were several studies confirming the effects of DNB.

Precisely what i mean. But without publicity, whether it be in the
realm of science research or the general public, further research is
simply not possible.

people need to be aware before they can delve further into the topic.

The people who fund studies would be more aware of dual n-back that
your average person on the street.
Funding is effectively awarded by peers in the field.

And I found about about this through wired magazine, as I also did
supermemo, so it's not a complete blackout.

Quite simply, it needs time.
