hi everybody! i`m quite new to brain workshop and today is my third
day using it, so i wanted to see my progress (it says that two days
are needed). unfortunately there is no progress graph available and it
says that there is insufficient data and that two days are needed,
though i used the program the last two days. further more i reached
d4b yesterday, but today i should start at d2b? that isn`t normal,
isn't it?
what can i do about these problems?
i would be really glad if someone could help me with these issues!
thanks a lot!

You need two days' worth of data before anything meaningful can be graphed.  (What's the point of graphing a point?)

The reversion to D2B after each day is the way BW was written to work.  Do you think that BW should work differently?  I could change it, or maybe make an option in the config.ini file to control this.  Currently, you can edit the config.ini file and manually change the starting level for each mode, but you can't tell BW to start on the same level you ended at yesterday.

Also, a newer version (4.5) of BW for Windows was released a few months ago.  It has several new features and some annoying bugs fixed, so I recommend you switch to it.  The main webpage hasn't been updated yet, though.  I guess Paul either forgot or got lazy.

You can find the files here, I think:

I think that there is some value in graphing a point, if only to be
sure that the program is recording the data properly. It's a little
off putting going to look at the graph and then being told that there
isn't enough data yet. Of course, this is all just my opinion.

I use BW 4.5 on Win7 and play QnB. But there is a bug - on statistics
I see "image: 0%", resp. "J: 0%".

Thanks for the bug report. This has been fixed in 4.6.

Would it be possible to have BW record and save *all* progress data,
including the score for each variable for each round completed, so I
can track my progress in color, position, sound, etc. as well as look
at my average score (%) for each n level for each game type? For
example, I have been on n level 3 for the triple n back, and I want to
see the progress of my scores at that n level, but instead the graph
only shows the average n level for my session, not the actual %
scores.

In the Readme-stats.txt file in the "data/" folder, you'll see the
format for the stats.txt file in which BW saves subject performance
statistics. You'll see that it saves percentage scores for each
modality for each session, as well as the basic parameters for that
session (game mode, N, number of trials per session, but NOT seconds
per trial). In other words, all of the data you seem to be interested
in are already recorded. If you felt like it, you could generate
those graphs yourself. As for having BW graph it, it would be
somewhat complicated, since (a) it's 3 dimensional (performance as a
function of date and N-level) and (b) noisy data (many of those dates
and N-levels will have only 1 session), and I'm too lazy and apathetic
to deal with those issues. Unless you want to pay me for it. :)
