I struggled a lot and often struggle with this, but my life is exponentially more complicated than what it was, having a job, kids with special needs, and a hell of a lot more. But things that helped & help me include meditation, praying, mindfulness - focusing on the present , that is; and practicing gratitude (which is not the same, but it is emotionally nice AND makes you focus on the present a lot). Being able to shift to the present as much as you can, not going back to the past (things that happened, for better or worse) nor to a future not yet written, but the here and now. Also, be hardcore on reducing notifications, apps, social media, etc etc... I avoid it, use it but on my own terms and try to filter what I consume. And avoid multitasking, it is poison. one thing at a time, one project at a time, to the best of your abilities and context -> For some people it is a bit more impactful (I have some form of ASD, very very mild, but so-called multitasking [we cant multithread as we are not a multicore processor, we are really context switching, but you catch my drift] still affects my ability to deliver disproportionately), but it is bad for everyone.
