Hey guys, we just got two new members today. Do you guys want to introduce yourselves so we can know a little bit about you.

Sure! Sorry it has taken me forever to respond...it's been a crazy week. :)
I'm Kyra Sweeney, a senior at Santa Monica High School in California.
I've been in the Braille Challenge, well, a lot of times (11 I think?)
and look forward to it every year. Most of my interests involve music.
I play the flute in my school wind ensemble and a local orchestra,
sing in a choir that I've been in since I was 8, and sort of try to
play the piano. I also love reading, hanging out with friends, and of
course, facebook and twitter. Oh, and if anyone wants to follow me, my
twitter name is kyra194. I think this list is an awesome idea, and
will be telling all of my other Braille Challenge friends about it!

I have met you before, Kyra. By the way, to those of you who don't
know Kyra, her name is pronounced, Kira. It is good that you joined
the group. I hope we can keep in touch. Last time i came to the
Braille Challenge finals, I missed themeet and greet, so nobody really
talked to me much during the actual contest. After the contest, we
went to Santa Monica beach and I got sand and water on me all the way
up to my butt. the waves were so big, it was amazing! That is so cool
that you live so close to L.A. I always wanted to live in a big city.
Well, it's good to have you on the group. if you need any suggestions
about anything, don't hesitate to ask. I strongly believe blind
teenagers need more portals of communication between one another.

I am glad that you are on the list too.
When I can't focus on studying, I go on FB and read random friends'
walls, and I sometimes read yours too. haha
I got to know Kyra because of my band director and Google searching.
I didn't mean to look for specifically her, but one of articles I read
from NPR featured Kyra and I just realized this is the girl my band
director mentioned to me. haha
Kyra, we live so close; I hope to actually meet you one day.
