At
Braid 102, we brought up a Multiplexing proposal to help Browsers transition into a
state synchronization world where they need to hold multiple requests open for long periods of time. This protocol can enable a seamless transition while browsers raise their connection-per-host limits from 6 or 100, without impacting developers.
We've hammered on it quite a bit, and now have a spec and implementation ready for review:
