It's been a long time coming, but we've finally pushed the big red button and published Braid-HTTP version 03!
https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/html/draft-toomim-httpbis-braid-http
This draft contains all the bug fixes and consensus changes we've
deliberated over the last couple of years, as well as a number of
improvements to the general exposition. In particular, we've
created a new section to better explain how "Updates with Patches
and Snapshots" work, and also added a couple of subsections to the
introduction. I will put out a formal call for IETF adoption at
this upcoming meeting (November 4-11).
This is a big milestone! Congratulations everyone!
Now it's time to edit draft 04, which is already better than 03. You can check it out here:
https://github.com/braid-org/braid-spec/blob/master/draft-toomim-httpbis-braid-http-04.txt
I've made a number of improvements to the writing after the draft 03 deadline (today at 4:59pm PDT). Feel free to help point out and fix nits! We will publish these once the IETF ID editing moratorium ends on November 4th.
Yours,
Michael
