This Monday, Moritz and Blinry join us as we interoperate Braid with
Ethersync.
Ethersync adds P2P collaborative editing ... across editors! It VSCode and Vim users edit files together, and see each other's cursors. It runs the Automerge CRDT through iroh, with Magic Wormhole providing an initial handshake, and then computes OT from the CRDT to update the editors with very lightweight editor integration code.
This is very similar to Braid's simpleton— Ethersync is also a Collapsing Time Machine!
It was simple to map our system models together, and Greg implemented a Braid+Ethersync interoperability demo this week. On Monday we will show:
- An Ethersync Demo
- Our new Braid+Ethersync Demo
- Mapping our architectures + protocols together — two Collapsing Time Machines!
- Open discussion on plans and future work
We still have about 30 minutes available in the meeting. Add your topics to the agenda now!
