  Hi,

    I hope this email will find you in good health, actually we are using brahms for one of our research project in university to simulate work environment, and we are kind of stuck
    some  place and need community’s help and that will be highly appreciated. please find below the questions.


    1. This is related to communication among agents, they are able to communicate with each other but I have one question, when I refer to Dr Maarten thesis i.e page 141,157, I
        can see  BLUE ARROWS representing communication between agents in agent viewer mode, so I just wonder how to get these blue arrows in order to show communication
        among agents for better representation.


     2. Actually we have to save activities’ start and end time in database for reporting purpose, so is there any way in brahms to get the start and end time of activity?


     3. This question is again about timing but in agent viewer mode, we want to show exact timing of activities in agent viewer screen. Below is the example

                  8:30 am - > Student reaches at Bank.
                  8:32 am -> Student enters card into atm machine
                  8:35 am -> Student receives cash from atm.

                 So our requirement is, after simulation the exact time of above three activities should be shown in Agent Viewer screen.


       Your help on this will highly be appreciated.

I am not sure what you are asking. Attached is a screen shot of the AgentViewer and a communication event from Agent Alex to the ATM at time 21871 seconds from the start of the simulation. The second screen shot shows the workframe and the absolute time of the communication.

1) To get "blue arrows" to display on the AgentViewer timeline, you need to select menu Options -> Toggle Inter Agent Communication as shown in screenshot below.

2) To get start and end time of the activities in database for reporting purpose, you will need to query MySQL database with table joins starting from historyelement, using HistoryElementID as key, back to PrimitiveActivity table. However, StartTime is relative to beginning of simulation so you will need to set start time of simulation using menu Run -> Set VM Options with option "-date 03/25/2016 08:00:00 MYT" (for example, to start simulation from 8:00 AM Malaysia Time).

3) To show the "exact timing of activities in agent viewer screen", set VM Options for when to start simulation and then you can zoom timings on the AgentViewer Timeline using menu Option -> Zoom Time
