When you're ready to reinstall Office, sign in at with the same Microsoft account you originally associated with your Office product when you first installed it. You can also find installation steps here:

Therefore, if you previously installed the 32-bit version of Office on your PC, but decide you now want the 64-bit version, or vice versa, you'll have to uninstall the bit version you don't want and then reinstall the bit version you do want instead. Use this easy fix to uninstall Office.

Not all Office 365 subscription plans come with the fully installed Office applications. See the bottom of the Office for business column for a list of plans that don't include the Office desktop client. If your organization has one of these Microsoft 365 plans, the Office 365 admin can switch to a different Office 365 plan or subscription or buy another Office 365 for business subscription for users in an organization who require the full version of Office.

Dropbox was installed before the upgrade to Windows 11. It has run completely fine but with the recent update to dropbox I was told I needed to update to the latest version in order to continue using Dropbox. However, despite my attempts to install the update it never starts.

I have since completely uninstalled Dropbox and downloaded the Full Off-line Installer for Dropbox which is having the same issue and will not start. I have tried compatibility mode, running as administrator. I get as far as UAC prompting me to approve running the app and then nothing. No error codes, no failure messages. Just nothing. I do not have an AV running besides built-in MS stuff and I have tried disabling all of that. Same results.

In Windows 8 and above, the .NET Framework is an operating system component and cannot be independently uninstalled. Updates to the .NET Framework appear in the Installed Updates tab of the Control Panel Programs and Features app. For operating systems on which the .NET Framework is not preinstalled, the .NET Framework appears in the Uninstall or change a program tab (or the Add/Remove programs tab) of the Program and Features app in Control Panel. For information on the Windows versions on which the .NET Framework is preinstalled, see System Requirements.

Because the 4.x versions of the .NET Framework are in-place updates, you cannot install an earlier version of the .NET Framework 4.x on a system that already has a later version installed. For example, on a system with Windows 10 Fall Creators Update, you cannot install the .NET Framework 4.6.2, since the .NET Framework 4.7.1 is preinstalled with the operating system.

The installation of the .NET Framework 4.5 or its point releases fails with a 1603 error code or blocks when it's running in Windows Program Compatibility mode. The Program Compatibility Assistant indicates that the .NET Framework might not have been installed correctly and prompts you to reinstall it by using the recommended setting (Program Compatibility mode). Program Compatibility mode could also have been set by the Program Compatibility Assistant on earlier failed or canceled attempts to run the .NET Framework Setup.

The .NET Framework installer cannot run in Program Compatibility mode. To resolve this blocking issue, you must use Registry Editor to ensure that the compatibility mode setting is not enabled system-wide:

I am trying to install Citrix Receiver 4.1 on Windows 10 machine. I previously had 4.6 installed, and I uninstalled that version. Now when I try to install version 4.1, I get the following error message:

I recently installed Windows 2000 on VMware Workstation 15.5.2 and I tried to install VMware tools for windows 2000 but is showed me a popup that said "Microsoft Runtime DLLs cannot be installed on this operation system. Please see Microsoft KB835732 for detalies."

I am having a similar issue with installing Fiji Imagej. I started by trying to download the NIH website version on my microsoft surface book with windows 10, but when I would go to run the application, nothing would happen that I could see. Task manager would show that ImageJ was running but I had no way to find the toolbar. So I found this thread, uninstalled that and downloaded the fiji version that was recommended. I followed the suggestions on where to place the file. This time the Fiji logo at least appeared, but again, I cannot find the toolbar.

On Windows 10 Pro, used latest VirtualBox 6, Ubuntu 18.04, extensions for windows, did all the step by step setup and waited an hour after starting the VM, nothing happened. Removed VDI Drive, Deleted Drive, Uninstalled VirtualBox, downloaded everything again (VirtualBox, Virtualbox Service extensions for windows, Ubuntu 18.04 Deshtop ISO), reinstalled all , created VDI and mounted ISO, NOTHING HAPPENED! waited for an hour and still a black screen with 2 small icons at the bottom. Does anyone know what is the issue. Can anyone help please? This is what I see

I had the same issue not being able to install Ubuntu on Oracle Virtual Box. I tried differnt Ubuntu versions (20.10, 20.4, 20.4.1) from various download mirrors, tweaked the windows features (Hyper-V, Virtualization) on/off doing a restart every time, without success.

Finally, I decided to switch to VMware with a non-commerical licence and as of now it works well. As a note, during the installation, it asked me to enable the "Windows Hypervisor Platform" windows feature.

I bought a new laptop without windows. Now i want to install windows 8. I formatted entire hard disk (file format = NTFS) and then tried to install windows 8. When selecting the disk to install, the following error is displayed:

Inside windows installer, hit Shift+F10 to get a command prompt, then run diskpart and select the target disk. Zap the drive (with the clean command), create GPT table (new gpt), create the GPT-EFI special partitions.

Okay I just solved my problem, Im hoping this works for you too.Find an application called MiKTeX Settings (I found it clicking on the windows start button and finding it in "All programs")Go to the packages tab an tick SGML/XML/HTML. Now go into the General tab and make sure Install missing packages on the fly is set to No. Then click the refresh FNDB button. And then apply the settings.

If you still cannot find the disk drive during Windows installation, consider referring to this section: Disable Intel Volume Management Device (VMD) technology to continue with the installation of Windows.

I have Windows 10 Home Single Language and build number 18363 How can I install docker because it give an error but my build number bigger and I have 64 so I need change to my windows 10?

Dears,

It's been a full day I'm stugling to install Windows 11 on a bran new NUC11TNKi5.
I've built the installation media, boot the Windows installer but when it comes to create the partitions on the M.2 drive, windows claims it can't create the partitions.

Before starting the Windows installation, ensure that BIOS is set to default settings (F9(y), F10(y). Delete all existing partitions from the SSD which you want the Windows 11 to be installed. You should see one unallocated space. Then click on next and continue with the installation.

Thanks. Somehow -and I did not change anything - the low toner pop up starting appearing. The HP1102w now appear in Device Mgr with the ability to "update drivers" if I recall correctly. I also installed HP update with 1 week intervals so I am going to wait for that and see if anythign happens. Since it now appears to be working I am reluctant to change anything.

There are many reasons why Windows can't be installed on a disk, but it's not immediately obvious as to what those reasons are. Fortunately, there is a range of different fixes you can try to get Windows installed onto your disk.

"Windows cannot be installed to this disk GPT" indicates the error message ''Windows cannot be installed to this disk. The selected disk is of the GPT partition style." This is one of the common errors that might occur during Windows installation. When you try to install Windows 10/8/7 on your computer, be it a desktop or Dell/HP laptop, Windows Setup might report the error "Windows cannot be installed to this disk. The selected disk is of the GPT partition style." If that happens, you cannot continue installing Windows until fixing it.
