Hello everyone,

I will be sending out the minutes from last week’s meeting later this week.

One thing that we discussed/agreed on in the meeting, was that we would like to put together a short programme of FoBB guided walks for Summer 2026. I have already organised two walks in July on behalf of FoBB / ART, so we now need a few more walks (in June / August / September) so that we have a full programme to advertise.

To enable us to put a programme together, I will need a number of you to volunteer to organise/lead these additional walks. I am happy to support with the organisation!

The two July walks I have already arranged are:

  • Thursday 9th July – Plaques walk 1-3pm
  • Tuesday 14th July – Northcliffe Dike and Red Beck 1-3:30pm

I have set up a spreadsheet (link below) that everyone should be able to open and edit. It includes the details for the two July walks and who is leading them / volunteering. I still need someone to help with (or lead) the walk on Tuesday 14th July – if you can do this, please add your name to the spreadsheet.

The spreadsheet also lists a few suggested walks for June, August and September.

What I need you to do:

Open the spreadsheet (link above).

  1. Choose a walk from June, August or September that you are happy to organise and lead.
  2. Type your name in the FoBB volunteer column next to that walk in the spreadsheet.
  3. If you prefer, you can change the route and please pick a date that suits you – update the details in the spreadsheet so everyone can see the latest information.
  4. Please only put your name down if you can lead the walk on the day. I will try to attend some walks, but I cannot guarantee I will be there for all of them.
  5. Or, if you prefer: you can simply email me the details and date of the walk you would like to lead, and I will add them to the spreadsheet for you. anna.w...@aireriverstrust.org.uk
  6. Deadline: please have a look at the spreadsheet and add any walk information by Thursday 14th May

Finally, I have also added the Volunteer Fair in Baildon to the spreadsheet: Wednesday 3rd June, 10am – 12:30pm. If you would like to join me on the ART stall to help promote FoBB’s work, please add your name to the spreadsheet (or send me an email directly).

Once we have a few more walks confirmed, I am happy to put together a 2026 walks programme poster that we can use to promote them.

Thank you for your help with this.

Best wishes,
Anna Williams (Interim Chair / Engagement Officer Aire Rivers Trust)
