to Cambourne Allotments - Brace Dean
Hi, I'm Simon I run a fencing and handyman business and used to have a
smallholding when I lived in the South West. I'd like to regain a
little of that experience through having an allotment, I can't have
the goats but am looking forward to the joy of the first plate of all
home grown veg. I'm hoping to grow the staples plus a few nice treats
like asparagus and artichokes (I know, I'm stuck at the beginning of
the book). It'll be nice to spend time away from the home and work
stuff and to be a part of a growing community (all puns intended) :)

I've started this group as a way for people to get to know each other
and start planning for the new site at Brace Dean. I thought it would
be a good idea to give a point of reference for new plot holders and
somewhere for people to come for help and advice and of course to
share it as well.

All I ask is that you treat each other fairly and with kindness, feel
free to ask any questions you want no matter how silly you think it
may be and above all contribute.

Happy allotmenteering

I'm Paula and I'm with him ^^^^. I dabled with growing veggies in my
garden prior to knowing Simon, but am really looking forward to having
an allotment so we can grow things other than lettuce, radishes and a
small persons serving of peas. I'm really hoping to have a good amount
of raspberries growing next year as they're my favourite jam flavour,
and hopefully have a bee hive in the next year or two.
