Hot damn, you crazy bastards are already talking about a sequel! :-)

Make it happen! I'll be off to CO by then, but can share whatever my mind hasn't blocked out. Also, I've got a GPS track I can upload when I'm home in about a month -- don't let me forget...

In my wee-hour stupor I lengthened it slightly here and there with wrong turns, and compensated by using China Grade Rd. and 236 into Big Basin. All that'll show up in the GPS track. The final stats were 102 miles, and about 12,600 elevation gain.

Looking forward to seeing a sequel happen,

- Fred, who's already scouting for burrito joints in remote Colorado destinations

Hey Fred,
Of course once was not enough...Only 31 miles for me-just a training run with pissy hamies.  I do these runs because failure is always an element in them.  In a world where everything is instant gratification it's nice to have some goals that take quite a bit of effort and can still turn out sour.  That just makes me all the more pumped up to get out there and do it again.  Would love to see the gps tracks when you get a chance in a month.  What was your final time?
Brian

Howdy Brian,

Glad you feel that way. It's not a slouchy run! :-)

I chatted with Ann & Andrew a good long while, and Andy too, so the aid stations slowed me down. Risk of hypothermia keeps me moving faster! I came in 28:50ish total.

What a wonderful way to spend the weekend!

- Fred
