Hi DDA, Congrats on being a grandmother!

On the BPW International president's visit to Nepal, no she will not be able to pass by Philippines as her schedule has already been set with other invitations from other groups - this was from Susan Jones, Regional head for Asia Pacific. Her schedule was planned a year ago.

Please keep March 5 morning to noon open – this is our FUTURE TALKS: GREAT WOMEN CONNECT-COLLABORATE  (PLDT-Smart sponsored at New World Renaissance Hotel 9am to 2pm). We are meeting next week to finalize program with the simplified objectives of letting 150 women (BPW Makati and PLDT SME Nation women entreps) know of the activities and what we are all doing as we move towards APEC WEF – so no focus on ASEAN too much as first planned, although I think you should mention AEC. PLDT wants it invitation and we don't charge fees as they are sponsoring all.
I will send you final program after we meet, but key things on that day
  1. Present what we are doing as GREAT Women Platform – You as BPWMakati, Usec Noya-Boots mentioned themes etc.
  2. Launch the GW ICT Platform partnership (panel discussion on ICT connectivity and how it can support women's economic empowerment, Also MOA signing for partners who will run the ICT Platform (PLDT, Smart Foundation, IBM, ECHOsi, BPW Makati, PCW, WomenBizPh
  3. Mini-Luncheon fashion show Launch the GW Brand – lingerie, leisure wear, accessories, this includes MOA signing with Bayo-Vise-versa retailers to launch the GWB advocacy specific to textile products and accessories the whole year towards September. Also with ECHOstore,  Tesoro's and Philippine Textile Research Institute (another PPP). Part of proceeds for any sales of those products on March 5 goes to BPW Makati.
  4. Lunch to be handled by Chef Jessie, maybe Gaita Fores and Penk Ching (dessert) using GW food ingredients
  5. Media present, we can use this to call in media to help drum up awareness building to APEC WEF
Those are just rough plans to be refined. Will revert after next week

What is March 24, 4-6pm  for? I am schedule to be in Singapore…
Thanks
Jeannie

Subject: BPW Membership Outreach

Greetings to all!

I have just returned from Singapore to welcome my first grandson Oskar Anton Albert Jerochewski. Great experience

I just finished reviewing some of the newspapers of the past few weeks and read about  two professional groups which   the membership committee may wish to reach out to namely, the Philippine Women in Travel and the Association of Advertisers.(PANA)

May I suggest  BPW write the new presidents of   both   associations to congratulate them and inform them about BPW .

I think BPW needs to widen its circle of professional women so they can be linked to BPW International.

May I know if there is any  development on the visit of the  new  Mexican  BPW President to  Nepal and our plan to invite her to drop by the Philippines on her way to or from the Asian continent?  I am meeting with a major Mexican company with considerable investments in the Philippines and I would like to mention the subject to him.

Also suggest we have a list of  planned as well as possible  activities for the year  so we could block off dates early enough.  Personally I have blocked off the Global Summit in Brazil in May and the Boao  Economic Forum in Hainan, China in February.   Please keep March 24 open  from 4 to 6 pm.

Looking forward to hearing from you soon.

DDAlbert
