Chief Behavioral Health Officer, City of Boston

Presentation Topic:
Accessing Therapeutic Services: How Families Navigate School-Based and Community Supports

Dr. Simon will address:

  • The current landscape of therapeutic and behavioral health services for children and youth

  • How families access services through schools and community providers

  • How parents recognize when a child may need support

  • How families know whether services are working

  • What families can do when services are not meeting their child’s needs

This meeting reflects SpEdPAC’s ongoing commitment, as a state-mandated advisory council, to elevate family voice, share information, and partner with district leadership to improve systems and outcomes for students with disabilities.
