Contract2hire position in Orlando, FL for a Hyperion Essbase Developer

This is a contract2hire position through Niche Technologists with a long-time client where we have placed other IT professionals over the past few years.

 The role is to design and implement software and systems for financial analysis and streamline reporting, including integration with databases, gathering requirements, and designing and rolling out Business Intelligence (BI) solutions in the Americas Finance organization. The developer is also responsible for ensuring thorough support to Finance functions including in-depth testing.

•  Design, code, test and document all new or modified BI platforms using Oracle Essbase
• Standardize design, semantic layer, metadata, reports, and report definitions for financial reports
• Analyze and recommend systems solutions based on findings, design functional specifications for BI front-end applications
• Perform ad-hoc financial analysis using BI tools
• Work with project managers to ensure data entry, retrieval, and suggest process improvement changes to drive productivity in the finance organization
• Design and deliver end-user training materials, provide technical support as necessary
• Act as advocate for BI benefits across the organization; promote BI usage in the Americas finance organization via seminars, WebEx and on-line training

 

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years direct work experience
• Strong analytical, conceptual and problem-solving skills
• Full project management and development life cycle experience
• Bachelor degree in computer science, information systems, or computer engineering. A minor in finance or accounting is a plus. Relevant work experience will be considered if no degree
• Certifications highly desirable in any of the following: Essbase, HFM, Planning or Financial Reports
• Comprehensive data warehouse analysis and design experience, with knowledge of data warehouse methodologies and data modeling
• Strong written and oral communication skills, and strong personal and interpersonal skills
• Able to prioritize and execute tasks in a high pressure environment
• Experience working in a team oriented, collaborative environment
