Mainly for the technical team.

75 tons production per hectare(10000m2) per year!! Strain used is Phaeodactylum sp.

And costs of biomass production in this case are as low as Rs 3lakhs per year.

Oh oh i have exact financial details for this : Voila : http://www.energymicrolgae.com/economics.html
We'll use exactly these stats for algae cultivation! :D

Btw these stats are from Energy Microlgae, a Kerala based company that has successfully developed a cost effective open pond algae oil production technology.

well, I'm also worried about the patent issues involved.
Ya, so that's why I'M  wanted a more authentic source like a research paper.

@ Shalin...This seems more economical...and also the yield is 4 times more when compared to Spirulina Platensis...!

check for patents,
i'm skeptical as they openly say out their process unlike companies like cereplast.

PP, Yeah it would be perfect!

We don't really have any research paper, but you can probably search about the reactions etc involved with the mentioned strain. This is the only link/site/page/paper we found that had good details about affordable algae cultivation in india.

Arey this method is only for Algae cultivation. Not sure, but i don't think you need patents/research papers for growing plants.

Guys, can we fix and finalize things soon. 2 days left and we are yet debating over the source. Just searching and posting new links won’t help, now is the time to convert what all you guys have searched in the last few days into one concise piece for the ppt. Please everyone work on the final touches rather than changing the entire thing.

Okay but, whatever it is it needs to be finalized. I am sure if you guys think this is better than it will be but, just fix it and compile and send it on the ppt thread so that I can start making it. There so many threads that I am honestly confused about what are the process involved.
