1. No way to use the Personal Commentary Module, and the tagging system is
very cumbersome to use as footnote system since each tag in the whole Bible
has to be unique to find the right note and to prevent software errors.


Otherwise I really like the GUI altho tabs would be a little better than
the drop down book selection. Module import is wonderful! Except for the
personal footnote/tag type issue I like this program much better than
Xiphos. If the tag could be made to reference only the verse where it is
put - like a footnote - or the personal commentary module could include
some kind of indicator in the Bible text that a personal note exists, this
would be my goto program - even over The Word.



What version of the product are you using? latest - On what operating
system? Vista Ultimate SP2 Is it the PortableApps version or the standard
version? yes


If the problem happens with one particular module (Bible, commentary,
dictionary, or book), what module is it?

I'm sorry, but I'm not sure I understand what your comments actually are.
As far as the Personal Commentary goes, it has had a reputation in SWORD
circles as having an ill-defined format and being treated completely
differently by the different applications, so we don't support it.

Tags are designed to support topical notes - a number of verses linked to
the same topic. I don't know if you aware of the "comment" functionality,
but it sounds to me like that's much more what you are looking for. It
associates the comment with a verse without needing a topic title, and
displays a dagger next to the verse that the comment is on. I suggest you
have a look at http://code.google.com/p/bpbible/wiki/UserNotes if you
haven't already.

If there are software errors, can you please include here a copy of the
full error message and if possible steps to make them happen?
