Hi,

BpBible crashes on start up, just after main program window displays. Windows 7. Let me know what you want me to do to narrow this down further. See attached.

Hi Andrew,

Good question.  I'm not sure if it has been tested on Windows 7.
Is that on 32-bit or 64-bit?
Has it created a bpbible.exe.log file?  If so, what does it say?
Were you able to use it to add the books that are displayed on the screen in that screenshot, or were they already on your computer?
Have you used BPBible 0.4.7 (or an earlier version) on that computer?

Hi Andrew,

After a second look, I might be able to guess the problem.  You have the Personal commentary installed.  This has always been unsupported by BPBible, but apparently it now fails to load it properly.  This still doesn't crash it for most references, but there is something special about Genesis 1:1 (being at the very beginning, perhaps) that makes it crash.  I can reproduce this on Vista, and will try to fix it.

Good guess. I opened up The Sword Project program and removed the personal commentary. BPBible now works.
