bottles

Bisphenol-A(BPA), a chemical found in thousands of consumer products
from food-can linings to baby bottles; including, food and drink
packaging;
the thermal paper receipts you receive for purchases at many stores;
plastic drinks bottles and the inner coatings of food cans.

BPAcan mimic the effects of oestrogen and has been associated with a
number of conditions in animal studies, including low sperm count,
prostate
cancer and fetal developmental problems. In 2008, researchers first
linkedBPA
to diabetes and heart disease in humans1, but industry lobby groups
such as
the American Chemistry Council in Arlington, Virginia, have vigorously
disputed
those findings.

Recent articles published in Nature News provide a great deal of
information
on this chemical and its potential dangers to humans; especially
infants, pregnant
women, and cashiers that handle many thermal paper receipts daily.
