Bonsoir mes amis
I hope this email finds you all healthy and happy. This morning we had 14 riders show up, the committee is pleased. It was a spirited group, there were no flats, again Bravo!!! but there some bunched up riding, let's try to ride close and only 2 abreast, let's all be careful out there. I look forward to seeing you all tomorrow morning bright and early. The miles must be ridden, the form improved.
The weather looks to be a clear and chilly 45 degrees at 5:30, with sunrise at 5:34am.
As always, the rides will start at 5:30AM, we will meet in the alley between Owenhouse Cycling and Rockford Coffee Company. We will ride the 50 mile Working Dawgs training loop, the same loop every day. There is a ~ 6 mile section of gravel, please come prepared. There are many places to cut this loop short and return to town early if work, family or life are interfering with your training. We are usually back in town around 8:15-8:30. Although this is not a no-drop ride, we do stop 3 times to let dropped riders catch back up and to regroup. The link below is for the loop.
Big Announcement- Please Read...
Lucien and Jurgita Hand have yet again offered a $1000 dollar matching grant on top of our other matches, there is also yet again an additional $1000 anonymous matching grant. The committee cannot express how much the generosity of these donors over the years in this regard means to this little training camp and the mission of raising funds for local charities. As always let's make sure our matching donors pay the maximum.😁
The committee is pleased to announce that the Help Center is our first return local charity for fundraising this year. This is an organization that is very near to your humble domestique's heart for personal reasons and they are in need of some cash, to expand their very important mission.

Rafael Geminani was a working dawg. Here he is in the 1959 Paris Roubaix he was never a big winner, many podiums in races across the board. He did go on to direct Jacques Anquentil to many of his biggest victories and he turned 99 years old today. Joyeaux Anniversaire!!!
