Bon jour mes amis
I hope this email finds you all healthy and happy. First off, my apologies on behalf of the committee for the late notice on this year's camp. The committee will receive 40 lashes with a wet noodle as punishment for being so derelict in their duties to provide enough time for people to plan for the training camp. That said, the committee is very excited to get the camp going, The miles must be ridden, the form improved. The weather is finally improving. As always, the rides will start at 5:30AM, we will meet in the alley between Owenhouse Cycling and Rockford Coffee Company. We will ride the 50 mile Working Dawgs training loop, the same loop every day. There is a ~ 6 mile section of gravel, please come prepared. There are many places to cut this loop short and return to town early if work, family or life are interfering with your training. We are usually back in town around 8:15-8:30. Although this is not a no-drop ride, we do stop 3 times to let dropped riders catch back up and to regroup. The link below is for the loop.
Why does the camp start on a Tuesday? Well, your humble domestique will be working on Monday June 10th, consider this the official call for a volunteer ride leader for June 10th. I will handle all emails, etc. If nobody volunteers, the camp starts on Tuesday June 11th, because your humble domestique is a working dawg.
The committee is pleased to announce that the Help Center is our first return local charity for fundraising this year. This is an organization that is very near to your humble domestique's heart for personal reasons and they are in need of some cash, to expand their very important mission.
