Hey Psycho Crossers!
We are looking at the finish line for the series. The last three races start at 5:30. Same Bat Bike, Same Bat Channel (Location), but different bat time 5:30. Don’t forget to bring your light if you are riding your bike home.
Owenhouse brought the Belgian heckling with Luuk doing the announcing. They are like an American Bike shop, but spelled more Belgian. Still chuckling about that…. Nicely done!
This week we jump ahead a week early with Summit Bike and Ski. They are hosting our race, but next week might be better for them as we are supposed to get some snow. So, enjoy the nice weather on Wednesday and thanks to Summit Bike for hosting our race!
Remember to notice NICA bringing the flair this week! “Joanna, 15 pieces of flair is just the minimum!” (Extra nerd points if you are already quoting the movie….). Seriously, thanks NICA for spirit and keep up the good work.
I attached the course to this e-mail. The course is very chicaney so hopefully you practiced your cornering skills. Observe the danger zone, be cautious, and no it is not the highway to the danger zone. If you hit it we make you watch 70’s Sci-Fi shows… (like this…. Youtube). Don’t make us break out the 80’s robots!
RACE STARTS AT 5:30 PM. Remember to bring lights if you are cycling home!
Keep your number plate throughout the series even if you are not racing all the races.. Here is the link to the registration, The results for last week are here, and the overall race results are over here.
VOLUNTEER signup (Here is a link to volunteer expectations) and this is a link to general information to bookmark for this season and future news! Remember…. retirees…. you get a guaranteed podium! You could either go to the CX race or you could be like my grandfather. Yeah, he warned them that the Titanic was going to hit an iceberg and sink! He tried to warn them, but they ignored him and threw him out of the theater. See, it is better to grab some Rockford coffee and head over to the race than hang in the theater! Unless it is Saturday night at MSU!
Montana State is having a fundraiser for their cycling team/club. They are showing “Nothing’s for Free” at MSU. The proceeds from the event will go to cover the racing travel costs. Buy your ticket here. The movie trailer, “Nothing’s For Free” is here. (there is an F bomb in the trailer so be aware of your surroundings when you watch it)
If you need to use the bathroom there is a porta-potty by the bathrooms. Oh, if you are psychic no one will know you’re using it…. because your P is silent… so make sure you lock the door.
Cory Hardy has moved from Junior High to adult.. yup…. It's sad, but it happens. Me, I’m still embracing my inner junior higher… However, the plus side is Cory’s adulting has empowered him to pull off another Mule Cross for 2023! So, keep the last weekend in October open. I attached the Mule Cross flyer which should contain all the necessary information. It’s purty!
Thanks all! Keep bringing the good attitude, competitive spirit, and let’s finish the series strong. Did you hear about the racing snail who removed his shell? Yeah, he thought it would make him faster, but it just made him sluggish! As always rubber side down!
Cheers
Pauly
