Hello Boxsters,
The Den hopes that all our American denizens enjoyed the festive weekend celebrating 250 years of America.
This week's FD is from German model maker, Faller.
The boxart was featured on their 1959 release of the 1/100 scale, Martin TM-61 Matador surface to surface missile kit.
The Matador program began in 1949 and developed into a nuke armed missile with a range of 620 miles, in the final "C" version.
Martin built 1,200 Matadors for the USAF.
They were deployed in Europe and the Pacific until it's retirement in 1962.
I selected a dozen images of the Matador for you edification.

Excellent choice! I built this one nearly fifty years ago and totally loved it. It was a small scale (H-O?), but to my knowledge never replicated in 1:72 scale.
