Hello Boxsters,
It is Monday, again, and time for a new Free Download.
This week we present another vintage boxart extracted from Chris' archive.
The featured FD comes to us from long gone kit maker, Renwal.
The art is from their 1959 release of the 1/500 scale kit of the US Navy destroyer, USS King.
This kit was released many times with different decals to represent several destroyers in this class.
The molds were acquired by Revell, and this kit was released in 2015.
The USS King was launched in 1958 as DLG-10, Destroyer Leader Guided Missile ship.
In 1975, it was reclassified, Guided Missile Destroyer, DDG-41.
The ship was retired in 1991 and scrapped a few years later.
