Hello Boxsters,

This weeks Free Download is the first done with Windows 11 and MS Expression Web 4 webpage creation software.

The learning curve was not too bad, but I have been using Windows 10 and MS Frontpage for so long it is still a little awkward.

This weeks FD is one of the off-the-wall kits that Aurora released in 1974.

Aurora released their 8 kit, Racing Scenes, all in 1/16 scale, that could be combined into a diorama of a race car garage.

There were two engine kits, two funny car bodies and 3 other kits that consisted of a funny car chassis, tool chest, mechanics and drivers. 

For the 1975 catalog the two funny car kits, Ford Pinto and Chevy Vega,  were released as separate full kits.

This weeks FD is one of the engine kits, the Chrysler 392 cubic inch fuel injected hemi engine kit.

The hemispherical piston engine was developed by Chrysler during WWII for aircraft engines. 

The war ended before more development, but in 1950 the engine was reconfigured for the auto industry.
