Hello Boxsters,
Word is, the groundhog saw his shadow, so we will have 6 more weeks of Winter!
I am so glad a wolf ate him!
We are still digging out from the snow and ice from last week in my neck of the woods.
It is also Monday and time for a new Free Download to warm your cockles.
To continue with our salute to Squadron artist extraordinaire, Lou Drendel, we present another of his boxarts he did for Monogram.
This weeks FD is the art he did for the 1967, fist release of the 1/72 scale Messerschmitt Bf-110E Destroyer kit.
The Messerschmitt Bf-110 first flew in 1936 and over the course of WWII over 6,000 of them were built for the Luftwaffe.
I was able to scout out a dozen images of the Destroyer for your enjoyment.
All the images are 1280 pixels.

Loved the Monogram 110 and Do-17. I’ll say again, I never realized that Drendel did Monogram art, but once I found out, some of them are obvious to me.

I went to the website, and I could not find the artists names associated with most of the lovely artwork that you guys have posted.

So my question is this: did Lou Drendel do most of the Blue Border Box art? I’m pretty sure the FW190 was a modified carry over from the original Koster artwork, and I think the Me109 BBB also had the earlier art, but what about others?

Thanks,
