Hello Boxsters,
It is the last Monday in June, 2025, and time for a new Free Download.
This weeks FD is one of several that would have been featured with the rest of the Monogram Quarter Scale WWII series presented a while ago.
Unfortunately, they were not in the archive at that time.
Well, thanks to the stash and scanner of Scott Dunn, we now have all of them.
I will feature the missing ones over the next few weeks.
First up, the Richard Locher art from the 1961 release of the Curtiss SB2C Helldiver.
This was first kit I can recall of the Helldiver.
It fit in well with the rest of the US Navy WWII aircraft in that series.
The Helldiver first flew in 1940, and was initially not accepted by the Navy.
Curtiss had to make 880 modifications to the aircraft before the US Navy would accept it.
Over 7,100 Helldivers were produced and the last one was retired in 1959 in Italian service.
I selected a baker's dozen images of the Helldiver for your viewing pleasure.
All the images are 1280 pixels.
