Hello Boxsters,
It is the middle of July, 2025, and a Monday.
That means a new Free Download to start the week off right!
This week's FD is another in the wonderful, 4-star, Monogram WWII Quarter Scale Series from the late 1950s to the 1960s.
The Grumman F6F-5 Hellcat hit the market in 1963 and caused quite a stir.
It had so many moving features it was amazing.
It was also the best 1/48 scale Hellcat on the market for years, and still holds up pretty well.
The Hellcat first flew in 1942 and was an great update of the Wildcat.
The US Navy put it into production and made quite an impact of the war in the Pacific.
Over 12,000 of them were built, and the last one was retired in 1960 in Uruguayan service.
