Even in SketchUp 2021 this is still and issue. One cannot get rid (delete) of the Matched Photo from the scene. Luckily you can create Custom Camera with FredoPortrait. Delete the Matched Photo Scene. Load the FredoPortrait Custom Camera and add it as a SketchUp Scene.

As accounts are capped to 10k images without an upgrade, it is rather annoying that deleting an image is very time consuming. after annotations i came to realize i have a good 1-2k null images. Considering theres no shortcut and its buggy to fully remove an image from your dataset, it is very frustrating to see up to 20% of your 10k images are now just useless and it would take many hours of work to manually delete them especially with how buggy it is, so a mass remove null annotations button would be pretty neat.

The images in your library are linked to the files you've uploaded to your store. If you head to Settings>Files, you'll see a list of images there, and you can use the little trash icon to delete them! That said, once they are deleted, there isn't any way to get them back, so make sure you're done with the image before you delete it, or save a copy to your computer!

@Ann456 You are partially correct. The image will not show up in the Settings>Files anymore, but if that image was associated with a product, it is still in the backend somewhere and sticks with the product. Deleting an image named XXX.jpg from the library and then deleting it from the product should allow you to re-upload an edited image named XXX.jpg and then reattach it to the product without the version tag (since the original was "deleted"). However, the original ("deleted") image pops right back up on the product page instead of the replacement image unless you manually upload the image via URL on the product page. Please help as this is very annoying for vendors with thousands of products and images that need to be replaced with .csv or spreadsheet updates instead of manually one at a time.

@Shopify When are you going to correct this simple task????!!! At 2x-3x the rate of competing platforms, I would not expect this issue to be outstanding for so long. I'm going back to #squarespace - It's a cheaper monthly bill and a platform that works.

I have found that the image search tool does not always function the way that you would expect it to. I do not know what image names that you are trying to find, but I will give a few pointers from my experience.

3) If I upload a file that already exists, a random string of characters and numbers is appended before the file extension and after the original file name. I learned this the hard way after bulk uploading 3000 images 12 times. I am still removing all of the duplicates months later.

3) I now only upload the file through Settings->Files->Upload files first and then add the image to the product via Excelify, or CSV push, for non-critical updates, or manually with the "Add media from URL" dropdown on the product page for critical updates.

5) I put in the words that I believe are in the file name separated by spaces listed from general to specific. It seems to find the image even if I just put any combination of words that are in the filename.

Unfortunately, settings/files contains only a small fraction of images uploaded (7 out of 300). Where I can find the rest of the uploaded images ? I need to delete lots of them as my home page is 4.5 MB heavy and I optimized & compressed all of them. Any hints would be greatly appreciated.

I've just got a new camera, which I have already started taking a lot of photos with. Hard drive space isn't THAT cheap, and I would like to get a work-flow together to quickly go through images, selecting the keepers and deleting the rest (along with maybe tagging, etc.).

Use 'Delete' button (Lightroom mode, right panel, 'Selected Image(s)' module): it "physically deletes" selected images from disk. It helps to display only previously rejected images by setting 'View' filter (Lightroom mode, top panel) to 'rejected only'.

Learn Ruby, write a script to read the Darktable SQLITE file, select using suitable settings the files that you have tagged for deleting. With Ruby, read the file path_to_image and then use FileUtils.rm(path_to_image).

In Lightroom, all of my photos went missing and on each photo there is a small exclamation mark in the top right hand corner. I really want to clear some space on my hard drive and I am unable to completely delete them.

I'm retired now but when I was working I had all important files backed up on my other computer. That is, work files at home and home files at work (I didn't do anything that was sensitive so that was not an issue).

Now, I have one hard drive that backs up my computer's hard drive with Apple's Time Machine. But Time Machine will only back up one's computer's hard drive. So, I have a large external computer that carries the majority of my files including all of my images (well over a terabyte just of images). I have another external computer that backs up everything that's one the other hard drive incase the first one dies on me. (I do this backup about once a week under normal use but more often if I'm very busy creating new files.

I also have everything saved in the clouds (FWIW, I use BackBlaze and like the service a lot, it's also very reasonable in cost). This is so that if the house burns down I can restore everything as BackBlaze backs up everything you tell it to.

I still have them in Canon DPP, so im ok with this. Just thought I may get a tad of help from someone at Adobe with a grain of common sense but no. Also thought a simple task like renaming a few photos would not result in a vanishing trick. Yes i have looked at all the obvious places before I wrote on here and the only thing that really disappoints me is the lack of help from the lightroom team. I think its time to pay towards a better product than this shower of you know what !

I agree, I strongly dislike the new "Photo Tour". It doesn't give me any control over what areas are featured first, and doesn't work well for my rooms, which are studio units. I really liked the old format where I could arrange all the photos in whatever order I wanted and guide the guests myself... Please AirBNB, make this an optional thing. It's not really an improvement.

Agreed! I finally got around to update the photos on our 10 listing ... didn't know any better and then realized the photo tour was horrid. I spent so much time selecting, uploading, sorting and captioning 40+ on each listing ... only to have this BS show up.

And if one more person on their staff says ... I totally understand ... no you don't unless you are semi retired and have the number of rentals I have. I usually try to take Saturdays off. Not today. I wish there were other choices.

@Jenny838 To delete a Photo Tour contact Airbnb support. They deleted it for me. Takes 2-3 days. I used their texting window interface to request this. The support person hands it off to another team.

Yes, the PT sucks big time for cases where you want to showcase beautiful outdoors first, before indoors. I wrote commercial software for over 31 years in oil industry. We tested before rollout. Nowadays they don't; rather let the public do the testing. Different scenarios, like beautiful outdoors settings, they don't consider before rollout. Pretty idiotic.

DO NOT erase labels! I charge 1300 a night with a one week minimum and Airbnb listed it as a studio with no bathrooms. Shocking we did not get ANY inquires and because of that it tanked my algorithm. Called Airbnb - 3 times got 3 different answers. I went in and labeled photos so it showed proper baths and bedrooms, my outside is gorgeous but they do not even show up in the first 8 photos.

Starting from Lightroom desktop version 2.4 and Lightroom for mobile (iOS and Android) version 4.4, you can access and retrieve photos that you have deleted, within 60 days of deleting them. The photos that you delete are synced across the various platforms - Lightroom desktop, Lightroom for mobile (iOS and Android), and Lightroom on the web.
