SPRING TEACHER/ STAFF LUNCHEON

Let’s show our appreciation for all of our teachers and staff as we enter the home stretch of the school year! We have many spots open for volunteers, as well as food and gift card donations. The luncheon will be held April 25th, and donations will need to be turned in on Tuesday April 24th. THANK YOU in advance for your generosity!

 

ATHLETIC SCHOOL PHYSICALS

We are partnering with Baylor, Scott and White to offer current Bowie students and incoming freshmen the opportunity to get their 2018-2019 athletic physical completed at the new Baylor Scott & White facility on Slaughter, on Saturday May 12th from 9:30am – 1:00 pm for $15. In order to arrange help from physicians, we ask that you turn in a completed and signed medical form ahead of time by April 26th. 100% of the proceeds will go to the JBHS Sports Medicine program. SENIORS

Baccalaureate Service

All Bowie Seniors are invited to the Baccalaureate Service which is a non-denominational worship providing an opportunity for family and friends to gather in prayer, rejoice in music, and hear an inspirational message to celebrate the graduation of the class of 2018. Details are posted here.

Project Graduation is Wednesday, May 30th at High 5 in Lakeway

This is a fun all-nighter for graduates to celebrate the end of high school with their friends in an alcohol, drug free, safe environment. We are excited about the Project Graduation Celebration...At High 5, there will be plenty of games, bowling, blazer tag, prizes to give away, temporary tattoo artists, caricature artists, a DJ and food. Students should arrive at Bowie after the Graduation Ceremony at 10:45 pm and will depart by bus. We should be returning to the school by 5:45 am. If you have any questions, please visit our 2018 Project Graduation website here.

We are rolling along with over 150 students signed up! Tickets for Project Graduation are $150. Registration forms can be found in the Bowie Front Office or on the Class of 2018 website- here. Please turn in the registration, payment and the liability form to the Bowie Front Office or they can be mailed to the school.

Bowie Team is the 2018 Texas Color Guard Circuit State Champions…

Bowie Color Guard was victorious in their 3rd consecutive Scholastic World Class State Championship. This makes a total of 6 straight varsity state championship wins since 2012! Their next competition is the Winter Guard International World Championships.

 

The Bowie Mountain Places 2nd

The Bowie Mountain Bike Team placed second at The Wrangle in Warda. Racers who placed individually: Alexis Bobbit - 1st place, varsity girls; Clara Ramsay -2nd place, JV girls; Retta Johnson - 1st place, sophomore girls; Conner Chatham - 3rd place, varsity boys; Logan Poore - 2nd place, JV boys; Ethan Wood - 3rd place, sophomore boys; Anton Birt - 4th place, sophomore boys; Ryan Wood - 5th place, sophomore boys. 

 

Outstanding Student Represents Bowie HS and Crockett HS…

Bowie Student, Kalaiah Savage, takes cosmetology at Crockett High School. She shared her talent at the Supercuts 2018 Superstyle Hair Show and won 1st place in the manikin competition. The hair show was open to all of Central Texas cosmetology students to participate. Way to go Kalaiah!

Tennis: Bowie Tennis Team tryouts are Saturday, May 26th. You MUST register at: www.bowietennis.org
