STEM FIELD TRIP OPPORTUNITY

If your student has an interest in STEM (science, technology, engineering, and/or math) please encourage them to join other Bowie students at the 1-Day Innovators-in-Training Challenge hosted by Ten80 in San Antonio on Friday, January 5th. Participating students will be transported from Bowie to the conference on a charter bus which departs at 7am and returns around 3pm. The student's absence will be coded as a Field Trip in TEAMS. At the event, students attend workshops that focus on content and skills related to one of three critical aspects of innovation: the engineering process, enterprise process and leadership. More information about the conference is available at https://www.ten80education.com/stem-tour/. The cost of this STEM field trip is $20 which includes transportation, a conference t-shirt, and lunch. Seats are limited (only about 20 seats remain), so please respond quickly if your student would like to participate. Registration forms can be requested from Ruth Ann Widner by email at ruth....@austinisd.org or can be picked-up by students in room C102.
