Thank you so much. I couldn't be happier with The Princeton Review. You guys helped me reach my highest potential. I just think the amount of prep was perfect. It's just organized very well and there are always available resources.

The reading section was my greatest improvement and pushed me over the edge into my 1400+ score. I must also give credit to my teacher Robert Storrs. I truly believe I wouldn't have performed so well on the SAT without his help.

Everything about The Princeton Review - content, instructors, customer service - is zero stress. The content is accessible, not unnecessarily in-depth, but thorough (with loads of practice on every specific topic).

Essentially, I had no idea how to study for this test before taking the prep course. I was intimidated and didn't know where to start. Definitely, I knew exactly how to study for the test after completion of the Princeton Review course.

The Princeton Review gave a comprehensive overview of the test subjects and consistently helped me refine my skills. My practice test scores were 501, 505, 512, and 518 showing how my goal was achieved gradually over the course.

Learning how to read math word problems and how to do the more difficult ones was what helped me get a perfect 800/800 on the math part of the SAT. The more useful part for me was the explanation on what types of questions there would be on the test.

"Sophisticated test-prep technology for a simple experience that meets students where they are and brings them to where they need to go. Several modes, resources, expert-led videos, interactive reports - adds up to smart help." - EdTech Digest

"The Princeton Review's "AI for Learning" resources, which include its AI College Admissions Essay Counseling and AI Homework Essay Feedback tools, were chosen for a Platinum (highest level) Award by both Campus Technology and THE Journal in the category, AI-Based Tool for Tutoring."

A large number of scientific applications and software tools are installed on the HPC clusters. Users can install custom software in their /home directories and elsewhere. Software containers can be used via Singularity which is a container platform that is similar to Docker.

Remember that no modules are loaded upon connecting to a cluster. Don't put module commands in your .bashrc file. Best practice is to load them each time. By all means set up an alias for your use, but .bashrc is not implicitly loaded for a SLURM job. You are likely to set up a situation where you have tangled modules and not quite sure why your job is failing to behave as expected.

If you need software that is not installed or made available through modules, you will most likely have to install the software yourself. The following section provides the needed guidelines.

In general, to install software not available as a module, we recommend that you create a directory such as "/home//software" to build and store software. (As a reminder, your /home directory is backed-up.) Note that our systems run Springdale Linux operating systems, so be sure use the Linux-compatible distribution of your software.

One exception to this general recommendation is when installing Python and R packages. Python and R packages are installed by default in your /home directory, and therefore don't require that you set up a special folder for them. See more about installing Python or R packages below.

Software containers can be really useful when you need software that may have tricky dependencies. You can pull and run an image (essentially a large file) that contains the software and everything it needs.

To provide a stable environment for building software on our HPC clusters, the default version of GCC is kept the same for years at a time. To see the current version of the GNU C++ compiler, namely g++, run the following command on one of the HPC clusters (e.g., Della):

Note that the C and Fortran compilers and related tools are also updated by this method which is important for some software. The relevant tools are gcc, g++, gfortran, make, ld, ar, as, gdb, gprof, gcov and more.

Vectorized code generated for one processor will not run on another processor unless it supports those instructions. Such an attempt will produce an "illegal instruction" error if the instructions are not supported.

The head node della8.princeton.edu is Cascade Lake. If you compile a code on the head node with AVX-512 instructions then it will fail on the (older) Broadwell nodes. One solution is to exclude the Broadwell nodes in your Slurm script by adding:

Together, the T&E program offers a suite of tools and services including Concur, an online travel booking and expense management tool; a dedicated team of Princeton travel agents at World Travel, who are accessible 24/7; convenient mobile apps; and the University's credit card programs.

May 13 through June 21, 2024, TSA screening technology will be replaced at Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR), Terminal B. Security screening wait times will be longer than normal and TSA advises that travelers arrive at least three hours before their scheduled departure time.

SAP Concur will be updating the visual theme of Concur Travel and Expense. Starting April 1, 2024, the next time you sign into your Concur account, you will see a refreshed look and feel. There are minimal navigational changes -- the update is primarily aesthetic.

The Video Production Studio (VPS) is located on the second floor of 48 University Place. Equipped with backdrops for filming and various photography and videography tools, the VPS is open to all undergraduates and ideal for recording a podcast, shooting promotional materials for student groups, or just working on passion projects. Students are able to borrow equipment including cameras, microphones, and SD cards through our lend system, and take their photography or videography explorations out into the Princeton community. We hope that the VPS serves as a resource not only for those with experience in photography or videography, but also those who may be new to these arts and want to test the waters.
