Will you teach your children what we have taught our children? That the earth is our mother? What befalls the earth befalls all the sons of the earth. This we know: the earth does not belong to man, man belongs to the earth. All things are connected like the blood that unites us all. Man did not weave the web of life, he is merely a strand in it. Whatever he does to the web, he does to himself.    -Chief Seattle

So Chris and all, how do we obtain some of the money to create Urban farming in the Triangle?

I would welcome the groups feedback.

I am ready to educate, inform, and assist in the conversion

of lawns to natural / organic gardens/ farms in North Raleigh.

We haven't really looked into this thoroughly yet, our business model doesn't rely on it, but we are very interested for some our community partners who write us into grants.  Currently we are collaborating with groups exploring funding from ZSR.  SEEDS <http://www.seedsnc.org> and Bountiful Cities Project <http://www.bountifulcitiesproject.org/> are on the grant circuit and may be more helpful on that tip.

Let us know if you learn more and we will do the same.

Cheers,

I am working with a State-wide working issue team on community gardening that will help address urban ag.

The Summit would be good to attend:

Mar. 2nd & 3rd in Raleigh, join us for the Statewide Farm to Fork Summit to help produce a statewide action plan for Building a "Just", Local Food Economy!

Cheers,
Chris
