It is recommended you update your Asus Webcam Drivers regularly in order to avoid conflicts. Driver updates will resolve any Driver conflict issues with all devices and improve the performance of your PC.
With the popularity of zoom and software using webcams, it has become more important than ever to ensure that your Asus Webcam works. Problems with Webcams can be very frustrating but there is often an easy fix.
The first thing to check is your actual web camera. Is there something blocking the camera itself? It is usually somewhere on the top of your screen. Ensure there is nothing blocking the actual camera before proceeding.
To fix your Asus Drivers problems you will need to know the particular model of the Asus Webcam device you are having problems with. Once you have the details you can search the Asus website for your drivers and, if available, download and install these drivers.
If you are unsure of whether or not you need to update your Drivers, or indeed which Drivers may need to be updated, you can run a Drivers scan using a driver update tool (you will need to pay to register this tool but usually the Drivers scan is free). This will allow you to assess your Driver needs without any commitment. Alternatively, you can use the device manager to check if there are problems with any of your hardware devices.
In many cases the answer to this is yes, however in some cases the manufacturers no longer make the Drivers available so you need to use a Driver Update Tool to install the missing Drivers. The purpose of such as tool is to save you time and effort by automatically downloading and updating the Drivers for you.
A Driver Update Program will instantly resolve your drivers problems by scanning your PC for outdated, missing or corrupt drivers, which it then automatically updates to the most compatible version.
Hello, I'd really appreciate some ideas. After upgrading Zoom on Friday (and uninstalling / re-installing several times since) my Asus laptop camera has stopped working in Zoom meetings on Windows 10. The camera works with other programmes like Teams and Google Meet and I've tried all of the things that I've seen others trying (rebooting computer, updating camera drivers, checking no conflicting programmes, checking all settings and permissions etc.) to no avail. I even had my work IT team remote in and take a look and they had no idea, either - they just tried everything I did.
How did you get your camera to work? My zoom camera stopped working on my ASUS laptop recently too. It worked in the morning and then it stopped working in the afternoon. I see a blurred grey background with a small camera in the middle, that's it. The camera work for other applications but not zoom.:(
You can scan for driver updates automatically and install them manually with the free version of the ASUS Camera Driver Update Utility, or complete all necessary driver updates automatically using the premium version.
Click the Update button next to your driver. The correct version will be downloaded and installed automatically. Or, you can click the Update All button at the bottom to automatically download and install the correct version of all the drivers that are missing or out-of-date on your system.
To find the latest driver, including Windows 11 drivers, choose from our list of most popular ASUS Camera downloads or search our driver archive for the driver that fits your specific ASUS camera model and your PC's operating system.
After downloading your driver update, you will need to install it. Driver updates come in a variety of file formats with different file extensions. For example, you may have downloaded an EXE, INF, ZIP, or SYS file. Each file type has a slightly different installation procedure to follow. Visit our Driver Support Page to watch helpful step-by-step videos on how to install drivers based on their file extension.
There are several reasons why your Asus webcam stopped working. It could be related to privacy settings, function keys coupled to your webcam, outdated device drivers, or even antivirus programs.
Asus has specific function keys, and your web camera links to one of them. This link makes things more secure on the hardware side; unfortunately, some people do not know this and can get their webcams locked.
Step 3. If this does not solve it right-click on the device. You can choose Update driver to update it to the latest version. You can let Windows choose the best driver or pick it from a list. Alternatively, you can download the driver from the Asus website and choose Browse. Consequently, you can download a setup program from the Asus website to install the driver automatically; this should be the easiest method.
Every Windows computer nowadays has a restore point that you can access anytime. This restore point will bring your computer back to a known state when your webcam is working correctly. Follow the steps below:
Step 4. Choose your iPhone as a camera source in the Desktop client. You will now be able to use your video conferencing app with FineCam Virtual Camera as its source by clicking on Virtual Camera ON (the center button).
FineCam also enables you to control the webcam videos by zooming in/out, mirroring, rotating, adjusting color & brightness, and more. In addition, it supports adding multiple webcams and scenes for complex presentation use.
You can fix your Asus laptop webcam through the steps mentioned above. As with device issues, it involves a bit of troubleshooting. You can be an Asus webcam expert troubleshooter with a bit of practice.
After upgrading to Windows 10 on my ASUS notebook, I faced some issues like the one with the touchpad. So, I decided to update all the drivers and tools to the latest versions.
ATK Package includes ATKACPI driver and hotkey-related utilities.
To avoid displaying OSD abnormally due to compatibility issue after upgrade to Windows 10, please update ATK Package to v1.0.0038 or above.
ASUS Smart Gesture (Touchpad Driver) provides smoother and more intuitive touchpad experiences.
To avoid losing ASUS customized gestures due to compatibility issue after upgrade to Windows 10, please update ASUS Smart Gesture to v4.0.5 or above.
ASUS USB Charger Plus is a tool to quickly charge your Apple mobile device.
To avoid quick charger no function due to compatibility issue after upgrade to Windows 10, please update ASUS USB Charger Plus to v4.1.6 or above.
For Qualcomm Atheros and Broadcom you also need to check your current Driver Version since there are different branches related to the chipset. Download the driver which starts with the same version number as yours.
Note: Windows Update may override the driver installed by the utility. Also, if you run the utility again after updating and it shows you the same Installed and Latest versions, do not reinstall since you will enter in an infinite loop. The utility installs the latest driver available but has a bug on the version check.
First, check the BIOS version of your ASUS Notebook. Then, search your laptop model on ASUS support site and download the BIOS file, if there is a newer version. Finally, install and run ASUS WinFlash to update the BIOS version.
I have been chasing a 2- finger scroll problem for my Asus T300LA since a Windows 10 upgrade. I have even chatted with an Asus tech trying to remedy the problem. The information on your site has remedied the problem. Thank you for sharing the information.
I have Asus S400 and website shows atk 1.0.0039 with smart gesture 4.05 but I have found that scrolling long lists like pictures or music folder in file explorer with two fingers would cause scrolling to freeze / crash.
Thanks mate for your helpful information. I have a Asus Eee PC 1025C with Win10 and the resolution is still only 800600. Tried every driver I could find but still no luck. Do you know how to fix this?
I really appreciate your work Ivan, so much helpful. Thanks man!
Tried to fix my bluetooth Aukey headset with the newer drivers (on win10 notebook) but still cant recognize them. wireless card Intel 7260AC+ BT ?
I wonder if you have the latest bios for Asus N56VZ for windows 10. I upgraded from Windows 7 SP1 to Windows 10 and most things work. However, I cannot duplicate/mirror my laptop screen to external monitor even though I have updated Intel Video Driver and NVidia drivers to the latest. Also, there has been some issues where a specific program hangs. I suspect bios but could not find any update for N56VZ at the Asus Support page and I did not wish to flash a windows 8.1 bios as I read that some people got a BSOD with that.
I am trying to install Smart Gesture software on my ASUS X53E-RS51. My problem is I must remove old software to install new smart gestures. I only see Synaptics software for the touchpad. Is that what I must remove? If I remove Synaptics app and find smart gestures does not work, how do I find a copy of the Synaptics to go back to. My problem is I lost my scroll function when I went from Win 7 to Win 10.
Thanks for the advice Ivan. When I tried to uninstall Synaptics drivers from win 10, I received an error message that one of the files could not be found and therefor did not perform the uninstall. I know the drivers can be uninstalled manually but it is beyond my technical knowledge. Is there a place where step by step directions can be found?
I have Asus N56VZ with Nvidia 650m 4gb! And have turn on display delay about 10 seconds when it returns from sleep. If I disable Nvidia and work with integrated Intel Video Card display is turned on immediately! I have latest drivers installed. Anyone have this issues. How fix it? Passed 2 years from first release of Windows 10 but the issues persist ?
