Neitherthe SRC nor the DST are mine. After googling around I found this explanation here and came to know that port 17500 has to do with dropbox's broadcasting and that I can get rid of it by disabling LANSync in the application or uninstalling it altogether. Still, I'm getting the error in my log file. Any ideas on this would be appreciated.

I'll add one more log to the mix. I'm getting the dropbox block on port 17500 but also getting blocked on port 63618 when my canon scanner software reaches out to the network to get status from my wireless printer/scanner/fax.

It looks to me like it's blocking based on an attempt by anything to broadcast to the network and not any specific application. Once I get a few minutes I'll do some more specific digging and see if I can trigger it myself and eliminate the application aspect.

I have the same problem. It just started about 5 minutes ago. It gives me a "website blocked" message every 10 seconds. It does not stop. It is for ip address 255.255.255.255 and it identifies dropbox.exe, and it alternates between port 17500 and port 68, and it is outbound. I have had dropbox and Malwarebytes Premium for years without any problems. I wonder if dropbox.exe has gotten hacked. I don't want to exclude dropbox.exe just in case it has been attacked and modified.

this is the second widespread false positive within a week.. ive experienced many false positives like this...really getting annoying. not only that, hundreds or thousands of people who dont know to look at this forum are probably freaking out that they have a virus or dont know what to do. i feel like once the update goes out, people affected by it should get a notification like "what you saw was a false positive, no need to worry!" etc..

It's the best anti sway hitch I have ever used except for one major problem. During tight turns or maneuvering the spring bars are to short and sometimes come out of the trailer mount holders. We had hitch professionally installed by a Curt dealer for the truck and camper. The location of the spring bar mounts on the Lippert frame are where Curt recommended. Yet, bars still occasionally come out. I am considering making longer bars as I cannot find any that are longer. When bare does come out it creates a very noticeable change in towing. So, I have to stop and reposition bar into trailer bracket.

We purchase another trailer for our daughter we bought EZ Lift 10,000 lb unit. The worst hitch ever no quality control had to drill out pin hole it would take two men to pull bars out from head to hook up even with bolts loosen.

Bought her this Curt she weighs in at 100 lbs and can hook up with no problem.

No response from EZ lift or Camping World.

A lesson bought is better than one taught.

Happy Camper now with Curt.

Trutrack Weight Distrubution Hitch

I have towed in 3 hr(200mile) trip one way with this hitch. It works well and is much more quiet than the round bar with chain style hitch I switched from. My only complaint is my sway bar brackets are bent in toward each other after towing. I would like to see stronger brackets similar to other hitches. I may order brackets from a different brand that look much stronger as replacements. I submitted a form through the website for warranty but have not received a reply.

I have researched this hitch along with several others and have found it to be superior in several ways. Especially Traction Control. I only installed it recently and have not traveled a great distance yet. I am looking forward to my trip to give it a really good checkout.

I just purchased the 17500 WD hitch July 6/18. After setup, we travelled 2.5 hours north to our campsite. I noticed when I went to unhook from our trailer, the head tilt spacers were literally twisted. Our TT is 7800 lb. The 3/4" bolts were torqued prior to departing the city and were still tight upon arrival at our campsite.

Has anyone experienced this before?

Thanks

Dale

Ok so this is a mixed review. As far as the hitch goes, its top notch in my book. I have had it almost a year now and have gone on several trips with it, the longest being 20 hours round trip from my house. The hitch worked perfectly. My review is more toward customer service, although that was great too. So why am I here? I read the second review on here where someone lost a hitch pin and called to see about getting a replacement and Curt sent them one no charge. I lost a pin and called, but was directed to Amazon to order a set of them. Now I do understand that its not Curt's fault that pins get lost, I guess my thought was that there should be some sort of consistency with customers. These two pins, of which I only needed one cost me nearly $20.00. Anyway, water under the bridge I guess, and I did order the pin set. Again this is an awesome product and I will be recommending this to anyone who is looking for a great weight distribution hitch. Thanks for a great product!

DUI arrests don't always lead to convictions in court. Police officer mistakes, faulty breathalyzers and crime lab errors may get your charges reduced or dismissed. Visit our California DUI page to learn more.

An assault is an attempt to commit a violent injury to someone else, even if no physical contact is achieved.3 For example, purposely throwing a lead pipe at someone to injure them and missing is considered assault.

Here at Shouse Law Group, we have represented literally thousands of people charged with weapons offenses including possession of a deadly weapon with intent to assault. In our experience, the following four defenses have proven very effective with California prosecutors, judges and juries:

There can be no conviction unless you actually knew you had a deadly weapon. Therefore your charge should be dropped if, for example, someone planted the weapon in your coat or bag without your knowledge.

Perhaps we can demonstrate you were carrying the deadly weapon for self-defense or were just planning to show it to someone. As long as there is a grain of reasonable doubt as to your intent, criminal charges should not stand.

Note that it is not a defense to PC 17500 charges that you were legally carrying the deadly weapon (such as with a CCW permit) since having an intent to assault automatically makes carrying it illegal.

For instance if you are recycling a glass bottle, the bottle is not a deadly weapon; or if you are laying bricks, the bricks are not deadly weapons. They only become deadly if you intend to hurt someone with them.

PC 17500 applies only to cases of actual possession of deadly weapons. Even if you intend to assault someone with the gun which you keep in a storage facility, you are not violating this statute because the gun at this point is only in your constructive possession.

In these cases, we would use video surveillance footage and eyewitness testimony to show that you were not carrying any deadly weapon at the time in question, and that any deadly weapons you own were out of your actual possession.

Note that if you are facing felony charges (such as for assault with a deadly weapon or other more serious weapons crimes), prosecutors may be willing to reduce the charge down to deadly weapon possession with intent to assault as part of a plea bargain. This would be a legal victory because you would avoid:

In addition, having only a misdemeanor rather than a felony on your background check will greatly increase your employment prospects and chances of getting a professional license. Meanwhile, current professional license holders (such as doctors, dentists, and attorneys) are less likely to have their license revoked or suspended for only a misdemeanor.

Being accused or arrested for a crime does not necessarily mean you will be convicted in court. Shouse Law Group has helped many citizens get charges reduced or dismissed, and keep their records clean.

While businesses have always been known to engage in a certain amount of puffery when promoting and advertising their products, making false or misleading statements in advertising can potentially lead to both criminal and civil penalties. Under California Business and Professions Code Section 17500, making false or misleading statements in advertising is a criminal offense that can result in jail sentences.

In a third example, a man wants to place an advertisement in the newspaper offering to sell his television set for $500. When submitting the advertisement, the man makes a typo and writes $50 instead of $500. Several interested parties respond to the ad in hopes of getting a television for a very low price but are rebuffed when the man explains the typo. This man would not be criminally liable under California Business and Professions Section 17500 BPC because he did not act intentionally and the false advertisement occurred as the result of an inadvertent typo.

If you have been charged with making false or misleading statements in professional advertising, it is imperative that you speak with a Los Angeles Criminal Defense immediately. As a former Deputy District Attorney with over 14 years of prosecutorial experience, Los Angeles Criminal Defense Lawyer Michael Kraut is highly skilled at defending professionals charged with white collar offenses such as this.
