Hello. I have been studying antimatter creation for 14 years now, and I think it's time that we invest in a new energy power called antimatter. With antimatter, I estimate that we would be able to reach alpha centauri in 40 years instead of over 200 with fusion.
Just 1 gram of antimatter would be needed trapped in a usual penning trap to do this. There are other stars within reach that could be traveled to with antimatter including vega, Sirius, and a newly discovered star only 12 light years away with 2 planets in the habitable zone.
Going .1 the speed of light might seem fast, but antimatter anniliation creates photons of light. The Boulder facility would be a model proteotype facility for approximately 1000 other facilities that would be necessary around the world, eventually, depending on the production amount of the first facility.
Cu - Boulder and vincinity currently has 4 recent nobel prize winning physicists. A new generation of scientists needs to study this phenomenon and do better than the scientists at Fermi or Cern.
I hope you will consider this opportunity.
Thank You,
Greg Westin
