EVENING SOCCER?? - TUESDAY 5:30pm

Hey folks, we were talking to some people on Sunday about making an evening game thinking on the upcoming high temperatures of the season I figured I’d start asking this week and see if enough people would be interested to make a game! 

I was thinking of starting 5:30-6 to end at around 8:00, by the look of the last couple of days we would have enough light, so it would be a Tuesday game 5:30-7:30, we can try this experiment and assess if it makes sense to play evenings in an effort to get more people after work and avoid the spring and avoid the hottest sun time.

Awesome, let’s wait till say 3-4 to evaluate numbers for today and if not enough we’ll try again next week and hopefully it settles in as we progress!

Generally not able to make evening tho great option for ppl who can

Something to consider is youth practices and field availability afternoon/evening. Albion generally has ebrc 3:30 ish until dark during season. So definitely assure a field somewhere in Boulder if possible

Thanks everyone who responded! It seems like there will be enough people interested in evening games, I’ll make sure to bring it up in person over the weekend games to let people know and hopefully next week we can start with Tuesdays games 5:30-6:00pm. If it works well and we start getting people on board over the week we’ll figure out regularity and goal situation and if people are open we could talk about Thursday afternoon games, whatever helps to keep on playing as most as people can and protect ourselves from the heat! 

Thanks Troy for the info, next week I’ll post again hopefully with more people on and I’ll head to platt and ebrc to determine what fields might be available!

EBRC will not have any fields available for the public until the summer. Albion has exclusive use of the fields from as early as 3:30 until 7:30, every weekday. 

For what it’s worth, I think you are going to have a hard time finding field space in the times you are hoping to play between clubs, rec, high school, and middle school athletics. Wish you luck!
