Hello All,
I have been more than usual just following Denver into actions and asking Aaron to follow along when he can. This combining was often a part of Boulder ADAPT work, and was part of explicit strategy at our last meeting months ago.
Along with the sort of independence thing, to see if it produced enough steam to keep the group...I have been very glad Aaron is doing the transit plan work, though unsure how to help, pleased to see Julie and Lowell educate as travelling ADAPTers, and awed
my Robin's work with the Young and policy knowledge. When I want to go on an action, or to a strategy meeting I have asked Denver if they need me. It feels like Boulder isn't a chapter.
And as much as I feel Boulder still has some terrible access, terrible attitudes on disabilities disguised as liberal terrible attitude on disabilities, and therefore a continued need for ADAPT, I have been using that fire internally at MHP, in plotting a move
and in personal wellness. My wish for continued ADAPT can't alone be existance, and at this time, I can't push for new energy and get well and plot move.
I will be at Boston action, and have asked Aaron to come do some unofficial attendant stuff and also attend. I reccommend sending 600 to Babs that we might attend, and 200 for Aaron who has been helping me dress and wash for the last few actions for free, and
will for this one.
I am always gonna be in ADAPT if I can, am hopeful I can help make an NC chapter, but Yes, I feel Boulder Coloradicals ADAPT has gone peacefully into goodnight for now.
I do want to say that's a meeting Thursay to possiblly bring ADAPT to help Jennifer Keelin's housing troubles in Broomfield...
Good run, been fun,
Jikai Keith Percy
I would like to postpone dissolving the group till we get back. There is a process and procedures to follow.
Sounds good. David.
