This will initially hide the download link and run a function every second which counts down from 10. When we reaced ten, we hide the counter and show the link. ClearTimeout is used so that we don't count after we reached ten. Easy as dell.

(Edit: By hide I mean make it difficult or impossible for end user to find a direct link to the file. They will thus be forced to actually be on the page, clicking it, for it to work.)

You mean you want to hide the path of files stored on your server? If this is the case, simply store the files outside of your web root, and serve the files with a PHP script which will make use of readfile() + header() of appropriate headers depending on whether you are serving the file for opening or forced download. See for plenty of examples on forced download scripts.

I know I can right click and hide the individual files into a collective pin, but how do I get rid of the pin entirely? I've tried pinning and unpinning the files and I even copied the stuff out of my actual downloads folder, (so the downloads folder is completely empty) yet they're still there. It's not the biggest issue, but it's a bit of unwanted clutter for me and I'm just wondering if there's any way to remove it without having to restart my computer or something.

You used to be able to show or hide the downloads list when you started a download. I had my browser set to not show the recent list. Either an update or something else changed that. Every time I click to save a download now, it shows a list of the last 5 downloads that cover a quarter of my screen. I have to click it off every time. Most annoying. I looked through all the settings menus and could not find the option. Where did it go please?

You can hide your game activity. Go to your profile and click on edit. There will be checkboxes for "People to see your gamer ID through your Google+ name" and and another to "Hide your gaming activity". Uncheck them, and you're good to go!

I want to disable Download button for certain OOTB roles(like Collaborator etc) and allow it for remaining). What should i add to share-config file? Is there any default evaluator for hiding download button and if there how can i hide for certain roles only.

When you hide an app in your purchase list, it will no longer appear in the list of your purchases in the App Store. The app will still appear in your complete purchase history in Settings. And if you use Family Sharing, family members can't re-download the app from your list of shared purchases.

If you deleted an app from your iPhone or iPad, the app doesn't automatically reappear on your Home Screen when you unhide it. Instead, re-download the app from the App Store. You don't have to buy the app again.

I'm using uTorrent 3.4.2 build 36802, and I would like to know if there is a way to hide the download list. Actually I just wanna hide a specific torrent from the list so this one doesn't show as seeding.

I don't wanna be rude, but actually I do mind telling what the torrent is. You see, my original post is so objective: "Does uTorrent have an option to hide specific down/up torrents? yes/no - if yes, could you tell me how it is done?" That's all.

I was just curious... Because the solution to hide the torrent from the list is quite stupid in my opinion, because the files you would like 'no one to see you are seeding', are on the disk for anyone to see

It's important to be clear on the reasons you want to hide it. Redocly is rendering the OpenAPI definition, so hiding the download button does not protect your information in any way. Depending on Redocly product, the user may still be able to download the OpenAPI definition without the convenience of a link. For example, with the HTML element someone can inspect the network traffic and grab the OpenAPI definition.

It may make it more inconvenient for your API consumers in case they wish to use the OpenAPI format for their own code generation or validation purposes. You have to determine if the result of hiding the download button is going to make your API consumers despise your choice. We've supported this option to hide the download button for over 4 years, but we still don't understand the actual use case for doing that with one exception: people who decide to change the location, look, and feel of the link to their OpenAPI definition.
