Is there a plan to merge bottleneck with numpy?

Hi Keith,

I was wondering if there is a plan to merge bottleneck (or some ideas / parts) into numpy to make these speed improvements available for all numpy users?

Probably this has been discussed at length, but maybe it would be useful to explain this on the PyPI page or the documentation?
