Hallo Dear Friends 

Thank you for the Veggie Service orders for this week. Unfortunately, the continued heat and no rain is still affecting the vegetables and herbs on Kingfisher Farm. But I do have a few (please see the list below) and also my preserves, rusks and organic seeds which you get also at the market tomorrow - see attached poster and information below.

Frozen Pre-Cooked Meal Service

I am excited to announce the launching of this service at the market tomorrow. But seeing you are already my customers I am letting you have a sneak peak in the attached flier. Next week I will be giving you the full information and all you need to do to get further updates is to join the Whatsapp Veggie Service group as I am not creating a separate group for the Meal Service yet. 

Farmer’s Market at BSPCA Animal Shelter

Our first market of the year is always a happy occasion! Your favourite stalls will be there as well as some exciting new ones! This is your opportunity to support BSPCA as well as the entrepreneurs selling their unique, home-made, home grown or locally sourced goods. Food and refreshments available at both the market and Bark & Bite Cafe. While you are there, why don't you pick up a second hand book or two, and maybe give a furry friend a forever home. Saturday 14th March – Grow Your Own Organic Gardening/Farming Workshop at Kingfisher Farm (see attached poster)

Saturday 21st March - Autumn Equinox Market at The Patio, 10am to 3pm.

Saturday 28th March - Autumn Open Farm and Pottery Event, 10am to 4pm (to be confirmed)

Saturday 4th April - Easter Farmer’s Market at BSPCA Animal Shelter, 10am to 3pm

Saturday 11th & 18th April - Preservation Workshops, Kingfisher Farm (to be confirmed)

The Veggie Service continues at REWA this week, on Tuesday 10th February, and those who live in or around Notwane can also make arrangements to collect from the farm on that afternoon. Please could I have your orders and the payment to me by Monday, 9th February 3pm. Thank you.

Here is the full list and prices of what we have right now:

Fair Veggies & Herbs

Red cherry tomatoes - P15 for 150g bag

30g bag herbs: mint, parsley, wild rocket and garlic chives - P10 each

Few Veggies & Herbs

Baby coloured spinach - P20 for 300g bag

English pumpkins - Large: P60, Extra large: P80. Cut pieces available at the market only for P15 - P30 depending on size.

30g bag herbs: oregano, plain chives, pineapple mint and dill - P10 each

Preserves: 

Spicy Pineapple Chutney - P60 each

Spicy Paw Paw Chutney - P60 each

Grapefruit and Ginger Marmalade - P60 each

Bakes:

High Fibre Rusks - P50 for 350g pack

Chocolate Beetroot Brownies - P25 each, Chocolate Beetroot Cupcakes and Cinnamon Pumpkin Cake - P20 each. Buy 5 of the same type and get one free! (Market only).

Organic Seeds:

English Pumpkin, Heritage Multi-coloured Corn, Rainbow Spinach, Flat-leaf Parsley Safflower and Sunflower - P15 a packet.  Asparagus - P20 a packet.
