New to Gaborone

Hi Everyone,

My husband, Depapa, and I have just moved to Gaborone from Boston, USA with our two children, Musa (4 1/2) and Safiya (almost 2). We would love to connect with families with children similar in age to ours, since Musa and Safiya are both very social! As we're settling in, we'd also love any tips or advice you have on a few things:

1. We're in the market for a pre-owned car. Please let us know if you're selling one or know of someone who is.

2. We'll be looking for a daycare/preschool for our kids and would welcome suggestions.

3. Along the same lines, what activities or sites around Gaborone are good for young children?

4. We plan to move into an unfurnished place in mid- to late February. If anyone plans to be selling household effects around that time, please let us know.

Hi Everyone, 

Here's a quick introduction - My husband Eric and I, and our two children Lorato (3.5 yrs) and Motheo (21 months) have been in Botswana for close to 6 months now, and though we're somewhat settled in, we'd still love to connect with other families with children around the same age as ours for playdates etc. We heard wonderful things about this parent network and are happy to join.
