Veggie Service on Tuesday 13th January and lots happening in 2026!

Hallo Dear Friends 

Thank you for all the Veggie Service orders for this week, especially those who are new to the service. I am working on expanding what is offered through the service in addition to fresh organic vegetables and herbs, tasty home-made preserves, high fibre rusks, organic seeds and occasionally, vegetable seedlings. 

Please see the schedule below as it's time to start putting up-coming events in your 2026 diary! 

Our first Monthly Market at BSPCA is coming up on the 7th February and I have  attached the flier as well as the full calendar for 2026.

Schedule for 2026 so far:

Saturday 7th February – Farmer’s Market at BSPCA Animal Shelter, 10am to 3pm

Saturday 28th February - Preservation Workshop, Kingfisher Farm (to be confirmed)

Saturday 7th March – Farmer’s Market at BSPCA Animal Shelter, 10am to 3pm

Saturday 14th March – Grow Your Own Organic Gardening/Farming Workshop at Kingfisher Farm (more information next week)

Saturday 28th March - Autumn Open Farm and Pottery Event, 10am to 4pm (to be confirmed)

Saturday 4th April - Easter Market at The Patio, 10am to 3pm.

The Veggie Service actually went back to REWA last week as although the school was not open I found out that their staff would be there. So next week the Veggie Service is on Tuesday 13th January so please could I have your orders and the payment to me by Monday, 12th January 3pm. Thank you.

Fair Veggies & Herbs

Egg plant - P25 for 600g bag

Baby coloured spinach - P20 for 300g bag

Mixed cherry tomatoes - On Special P25 for 2 x 150g punnets

30g bag herbs: basil, mint, parsley, wild rocket and garlic chives - P10 each

Few Veggies & Herbs

English pumpkins - Medium: P40, Large: P60, Extra large: P80

Swiss chard - P15 bunch

Rainbow spinach - P20 bunch

Butternut - P10 per kg

Barbara butternut P15 per kg

Spring onions - P10 bunch

Large yellow marrow (zucchini) - P20/25 each

30g bag herbs: oregano, plain chives, pineapple mint and dill - P10 each

Preserves: 

Spicy Pineapple Chutney - P60 each

Spicy Paw Paw Chutney - P60 each

Plum and Cardamon Jam - P60 each

Organic Seeds:

English Pumpkin, Heritage Multi-coloured Corn, Rainbow Spinach, Safflower and Sunflower - P15 a packet.  Asparagus - P20 a packet.
